It was team late dinner and the place was recommended by one of our British colleagues. It a kind of bar and the have a nice food and drinks menu. We have ordered a mix of starters to share and I had fish & chips as a main course. The vibes and service were excellent. Ranking: Starters:3/5 Fish & chips: 2.5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall rating 3/5 I don’t think I will go there again
A great pub with a large screen for the football. Seating arranged for this purpose. The staff were really friendly and attentive - quick service too. The southern fried chicken burger was tasty, but a bit overpriced for having just one side of chips at c.£16. Loaded fries were great for sharing. Drinks were normal City prices. Overall great atmosphere for the England matches during the World Cup.
It’s OK Met a diverse group here for dinner, and it was very noisy which is to expected I suppose. Lighter Gluten free options are as always limited- I opted for nachos and a Parmesan and rocket salad. The nachos were largely forgettable, corn chips for snacking with a glob of cheesy substance in there somewhere. The salad was good. Others had pasta, salmon and steak. All related as good, with great British chips.
Just a short walk from the lovely attraction of The London Eye / Houses of Parliament on the River. Nice vibe and feel about the place. Plenty of beers on tap and soft drinks available. We had the buttermilk chicken burger which was lovely and the sauce had a nice little Kick heat to it didn't get much chips which was disappointed but the few I had did taste nice. Not sure if they were triple cooked as advertised though. Recommend the pub if your in the area working or as a tourist
Straight of a train journey from Birmingham Into this pub for a Sunday roast. Bit more expensive than Birmingham but expected that been in the capital roast beef dinner £19.00 but food was really really good. Service was great and the pub was very welcoming and friendly . Highly recommend will be going back before we leave
We had a great Sunday roast, so we came back for dinner tonight. I had the fish and chips, the chips were cooked perfectly and were crispy but there were very few chips and my fish had a strong fish taste and the skin was slimy. I didn’t eat it.
We had dinner here because it was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. The ground floor was loud and crowded so we went upstairs which was tranquil by comparison. The fish and chips were good but the Korean flavor chicken wings were great.
Had a great evening at the Hercules. Stepped in quite late, but were able to order food shortly before kitchen closing. Got excellent recommendations from Samuel what to choose from tap. Thank you so much, will come back again.
We both had the Sunday roast. Sadly the beef was very dry and tough, while the chicken was undercooked and had to be sent back to be roasted some more. The potatoes and vegetables were very good, but that's not enough to save the dish. Ambience and decor was good, service was good, but I can't recommend the food.
Absolutely love this place. Two sours on tap, and one of them is vault city!! Vault city sour beer is a personal favourite so very happy. Love that they have a tv with the untapped list. Love that they have a qr code menu ordering thing. Outdoor and indoor tables. Staff who are enthusiastic.
