Nestled in the South Downs on the same site as the Kings Arms is our Indian restaurant. Banyan offers authentic Indian cuisine that is a far cry from your typical curry house. Fresh dishes are created by professional Indian chefs using locally sourced fresh ingredients and complimented with exceptional service. Am sitting at my table having been told we could book for 6.45 and need to leave at 8.30 and still we have now food. We were not late. Still waiting and it's now 8.15. I am not leaving at 8.30 for anyone.i don't know what the food is like yet. Also I am sitting next to a door that is constantly opening with a bang. It seems that take away gets better service than I do.

This is one of the best around. Food tastes fresh, service is good. It is a tad pricier than your average but well worth the extra cost. Also do takeaway which you can save yourself 10% over £50. It can get busy if sitting in so best to book at the weekend.

We've just had one of the best Indian meals ever. Fresh, authentic and imaginative. The service was exceptional and the environment (a very tastefully renovated barn) modern but cosy. This is no 'curry house'.
