I was at the hotel only for one night but was very impressed and will definitely return.nnI arrived SUPER early and the staff went out of their way to enable me to check in early so I could sit in private and work during the day. I had lunch and dinner on site and was impressed with both the service and the taste and quality of the meals.nnThe room was very spacious, the bed was really comfortable, and I slept super well. My view was out onto a little stream and with the road just in view.nnCar parking was free and plentiful and I'd really recommend this place to anyone for any reason, either business or pleasure.
Ack Banville what has happened to you.This was always our favourite place for lunch and dinner and my friends stay here when visiting. Was here for Christmas lunch there was 3 people ,it wasn't busy .I had 2 courses beef then Christmas pudding. Meat was good but the rest was diabolical.Frozen tiny Yorkshire pudding the same you get in Iceland Vegetables runny sloppy, the Christmas pudding was as hard as the road .You really need to improve people always recommend where to go.in the past it was the Banville not now.We all thought it was poor .This was brought to the attention of waitress and paying the bill didn't even get a thankyou.Where is good customer service gone too.
Was at a function tonight service was so poor it was diabolical half of the table's getting served other people on the same table waiting over 1/2 hour on their food. I went into kitchen to complain to the head waitress knowhere to be found she was on the phone to the Hotel Directors Soup was served cold 90% of the people sent it back Then the dinner came out Oh boy was it bad Hard potatos burnt Roast potatoes no gravy served at all some guests didn't even get any potatoes they ran out of food Just a total joke All guests complained there excuse was new chef Thats no excuse for a we'll establish Hotel Best of all the chef walked out apparently he was only there two weeks Worst serves ever We certainly won't be back 3 Star Hotel would get better service in a 1 star Hotel or at Mc Donalds. JUST think if that had of been a Wedding dinner the Brides day would have been ruined When you go through all the Reviews it's not for good reading
Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding as it was recommended by the bride as it was close to the reception venue. Overall the room was fine and very clean, but the bathroom needs updating. Very old and smelt damp, there were also areas where work had started but not finished, for example exposed plugs in the wall.nnBreakfast was included in our stay, but it was just tiny boxes of cereal. Would of been nice to have toast and pastries to choose from as well.nnThe staff were very friendly and helpful!
Disappointed with service.nAdvertising food and then not the same you get on your plate. Paid for a 3 course meal for Xmas dinner and didn’t get desert, because and quote: “deserts are frozen”nWon’t be coming back ever!!!nFirst and last time here.
