Bangladesh Curry Mahal

Food OK, customer service terrible Ordered a delivery this evening, based on past reviews and website time estimate of 45 - 60 minutes. Phoned after 1 hour, was just brushed off, phoned again after 1.5 hours, the story of why the order was late kept changing. We were then promised that the order would arrive within 15 minutes - it didn't arrive for another 30 minutes, and had obviously been sitting for a while. The food was good, but we were so hungry that we would have chewed cardboard by this stage. Totally unacceptable - don't make promises that you can't deliver on your website, and have the decency to apologise and compensate customers with a genuine grievance!

After reading some positive reviews over the net i have found myself bitterly disappointed tonight. With a 1hr35mins delivery wait i thought the food would be to a pretty decent standard, even though i knew they would be busy due to a Saturday night. Upon delivery the driver was polite and well mannered but had forgotten somethings from the order, i went after him before he left and he apologised and gave me some money back. The food was cold and i had to put it in the microwave to warm it up, the popadom's were crushed to pieces, the cucumber raita was a bit sickly, the 'popular' jafrani pilau rice was bland. The chicken dhansak was just above average. Overall i thought it was very overpriced with the quality of food, neither my wife or i were impressed. Hopefully it may be a totally different experience eating in house but i would not recommend the Curry Mahal for a takeaway.

Refurbished March 2012, great interior top food, worth a visit if you like good indian food and great service.

life is too short for average food.... but Curry Mahal has it all to make it a life time experience!
