Welcome to The Bandit Mugger & Thief. Stripped back to its industrial roots, and very much at the beating heart of the Village community, BMT is a drinking and dining experience, uniting the vibrancy of Manchester’s Northern Quarter with the classic charm of Canal Street.

Craft ales, inspired cocktails, artisan coffees and great wines are our speciality. And we have free USB and standard charging points for your phones, laptops and tablets, which means you can keep yourself entertained for more hours than you can keep track of. The only things we don’t have are showers and beds, so unfortunately, we do have to send you home at the end of the day!

Was hoping to grab some food here but sadly the chef was off. Other than that, it's a fairly nice bar with good staff. The decor is nice and cosy and there are seating areas on the outside that overlooks the canal. Great for when the weather is nice and sunny.
A good bar at the quieter end of Canal At. Decent selection behind the bar. Very friendly staff.
Glitzy and really good cocktails. But advertises its food outside and then said they were not doing food on the day we visited with no explanation. Might be wise to check beforehand if you intend to eat.
Nice vibe with a good attempt at a bistro/coffee shop food. Service was slow we had to go to bar to get the attention of staff but staff were friendly. Menu looked good however the food was poorly prepared, toast was like crisp bread, eggs were over cooked. All made worse as it wasn't busy at 11:30am on a Saturday.
I love love love this place they do amazing cocktails. Always great atmosphere aswell. Especially on a Sunday night as they have drag night then.
Nice beer. Bit pricey for Manchester. Ambience okay apart from cackling women and something throwing a glass after veing barred. Wanted food but only delivery items on offer.
Not bad for a lunch. It kept meat eaters and vegans happy on one menu. Not bad food but not wow food
Nice bar although a tad overpriced. Despite the revamp it's still always going to be called Taurus. Food menu could be more inspiring though
