Fantastic place, the best walled garden I've ever visited. The perfect place to read!!!
Beautiful well maintained gardens. Very peaceful. Well priced entry. Cafe drinks and food are amazing. Staff friendly and accommodating. Use for a wedding and the venue didn't disappoint.
It's an enjoyable walk around the gardens, particularly the walled one, it also has a couple of 'woodland' type walks which are nice. There is a pitch and putt facility there which might stop younger folk getting bored. Personally I think there's enough in the walks to stop that but we're all different. On the day I visited a couple of fair type stalls were in the barn, for youngsters I guess and some commercial options which was nice. I think it might have been in support of the Marie Curie charity who had a table there. I thought that was a good thing to see. The cafe outside was ok too, the weather was sunnyish so sitting out on a patio type affair was ok. If it was wet/cold there are some tables in the building used for the cafe, but not too many. Cost of entry was £6 which was reasonable but no more than that, still it's a lot cheaper than a walk around Scone Palace! Will I go again and would I recommend this place for others? Very probably and yes.
We recently styled Backhouse Rossi for a wedding. We had a fantastic time, the staff where so friendly and welcoming. The venue and Gardens and beautifully kept. We hope to return.
Beautiful walled garden, lovely well kept grounds, nice cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, plants for sale, loved exploring the walk to the covenanters tomb. Perfect way to spend a few hours. Loved it.
My daughter and her now husband chose this as a venue for their wedding. Both the ceremony and reception were held here and t’s and exceptionally beautiful space and was perfect for the 75 people we had there. Caroline and Andrew were amazing and ensured that the little things weren’t missed and were on hand for any questions the day before when we set up and on the wedding day itself. The gardens and woodland are beautiful and the photos outside have made an already perfect day even more beautiful.
Very interesting place to visit. Really beautiful gardens. Nice little cafe to relax for a coffee and snack. Plenty of free parking.
A peaceful retreat, the walled garden provides the centre piece of the gardens with various trails & paths to follow. There is a putting green & a childrens bear walk. The cafe has a sunny southerly aspect with indoor & outdoor seating that serves beverages, light snacks, cakes/scones & a dish of the day. An on site heritage centre provides historical background to the Backhouse Horticultural generations.
Loved it! Loved it! Sunshine for the Soul. Daffodils were out but there is so much more. Walled garden is a great design. Woodland walk was a great way to finish and the Bear walk great for kids and adults.
This is a hidden gem in Fife. We had a lovely lunch sitting outside and then wandered around the beautiful gardens and woods. It's an idyllic setting that every keen gardener will be delighted by
