"Attractively set within 400 acres of parkland, Balbirnie Park campsite offers a variety of walks, and the site is great for dog owners, with plenty of open space and woodland, and is a great holiday location for everyone in the family. The nearby village of Markinch offers grocery shops, a post office, restaurants, bars and cafes. Elie, Leven and St Monans offer stunning beaches just a short drive away, and the railway station, just 15 minutes’ walk, provides direct links to Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth. Edinburgh is just an hour by train, and the route crosses the spectacular Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site."

Nice and quiet campsite. Really clean toilets and showers. Friendly staff. No facilities but very close to Markinch town, supermarket, hairdressers, restaurant, take away. For kids playground go to John Dixon park, soccer field is here as well. Just 15 min walk to the train station where you can get to Edinburgh city in one hour
This is a quiet and conveniently located site in West Fife close to the A92 so affording easy access north and south for stop-offs. We stayed for 5 nights for the 2022 Open Golf championships at St Andrew's and to visit the V&A museum in Dundee. Some pitches are under trees so expect things to fall from them. Clearing up certainly keeps Club wardens busy. Site office is open 1-5pm so laundry tokens need purchasing between those times. Facilities as usual are spotless and a credit to the staff's hard work. Great walks from site to the large park adjacent to the site and Markinch is a 5 minute walk from site where there is a Co-op, Nisa and coffee shops, hotels etc. Great site and worth a visit.
Super caravan park. Big enough to have plenty of space between units buts small enough to still feel friendly. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Ultra clean toilets and showers. Can't fault it.
Lovely campsite set among trees. Very good clean facilitie. Friendly helpful staff.
I absolutely love this site. I hadn't been until this year and have just spent two weeks and couldn't have chosen a better site to start the season. The site is nestled into the corner of a gorgeous country park which is fantastic for dog walking and has amazing area of rhododendrons and would be stunning in bloom. The location is very central with lots to explore in the area including many little fishing villages, St Andrews and Dunfermline nearby and also Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling, Dundee and even Glasgow in easy reach. The site itself is fantastic and quirky with lots of little sections on different terraces meaning even when busy, it won't feel it. There are lots of trees around the site meaning squirrels and birds are always in sight nearby and it's very peaceful. The shower block is spotless and very well looked after. Around the site there are lots of little additions that the Managers have thought of to give it it's own character. Jo and Craig are the most welcoming managers I've met and are clearly passionate about their site. Balbirnie Park will now definitely be my 'go to' in southern Scotland as I would love to see the site evolve through the season with the trees, bushes and plants all blooming. I can't wait to go back.
Great site with a mix of pitches that are under the trees or out in the open. Some of the pitches are sloping so pick carefully or make sure you have some chocks with you. Typical CC club site with immaculate facilities which is a credit to the wardens who work incredibly hard to keep the site in tip top condition There is no on site dog walk but the site is right next to hundreds of acres of parkland and well defined paths so plenty of space to exercise the dogs. Its a shame that some dog owners are so thick they seem to think it’s ok to toilet their dogs on site because they can’t be bothered to walk them off site. One of the best CC sites I have been too with lots to see and do in the local area
Ww stayed here for 3 nights in late March, it was perfect for us. Jo and Craig, site managers, are fantastic people. From the warm welcome, professional handling of arrival procedure and imparting of site and local area information to keeping the site immaculate. The site is on the edge of the Balbirnie Woodland Park which has an abundance of walks. Markinch Town centre is a literal 5 minute walk from the site. The amenities areas are immaculate and plentiful. The shower block and dish washing areas are clean, warm and plenty hot water. We can't recommend the site highly enough. We will be back!!
Fantastic site wardens great massive green park next-door dogs loved it with streams to swim in .give it a go we loved it
We were only here visiting friends that were staying here. Site looks lovely and would definitely consider stopping here in the future.
