Dr Shawna Green always shows compassion. She is one of the best chiropractors I have ever visited and have been with her regularly for over 6 She is knowledgeable in many areas of healing using her chiropractic skills along with laser and acupuncture. In 2008 and 2010 I was in two very serious accidents both in which I experienced traumatic brain injuries. At the time, and during the period of seeking relief from back and neck pain, I never was told I was suffering from post concussion syndrome. In 2019, I was diagnosed with a brain injury after struggling with my work related studies, being extremely overstimulated, anxious, irritable, sleep deprived and unable to focus. I had several brain scans done where a lesion was detected. I was referred to a brain injury program that provided good information on how to live with a brain injury, manage symptoms, but not on how to overcome one. I began talking to many people and eventually spoke with a family chiropractor who said he could not help me with brain injury recovery but knew many of his patients and himself who fully recovered by working with a functional neurologist. He sent me some names of Doctors in my area and that is when I called Dr Spiro Ioannidis’s office. I asked many questions and they asked him to call me to answer some more. He did not promise he could heal me but said that he has had many people recover and do very well with their therapy with him. I was not doing well at all when I first started seeing him as I was experiencing very high levels of anxiety, fatigue, stress, overstimulation, irritability, headaches, inability to focus, elevated heart rate, insomnia, difficulty socializing etc. Dr Ioannidis has helped me more than I ever could have imagined and remarks on how amazing it is how far I have come despite my brain injury being so old and that it was left untreated. I now am high functioning once again, back to work and taking on more and more tasks in my daily life, and continue to add on them all the time. I went back to driving, don’t get headaches, have sustained energy, sleep well can focus for long periods. I am able to enjoy time with others, engage in conversations and all while learning to pace myself. I continue to receive therapy with Dr Spiro as I feel I am pretty close to where I was prior to brain injury with a few little tweaks left. We keep seeing continued improvement so I want to keep going to excel into my full potential beyond brain injury. I am so very thankful for Dr Ioannidis’s care, kindness, compassion, attention to detail, expertise, support and unwavering encouragement. I always leave inspired and excited to keep up with my training! I would never have been able to get my life back without him, thank you Dr. Spiro!
