Be very careful when using the Valspar paint service. I matched a colour, took the sample pot home (which is quite large for the money) used it to cover a lot of the wall to get confirmation it's what I wanted and when I went back today to have the full size one made up they didn't store the details...They said sometimes the system doesn't save it!! My advice is to take your sample pot with you when you go to get full size. I now have to go back and take it with me, losing an entire afternoon as I don't live close!! I also have to hope it's the exact same colour as I've already put on the wall!! .....UPDATE... On a positive I returned with the sample pot and they were able to match it perfectly...after some time!!

Staff on checkouts are always friendly and helpful and on my visit today Summer was especially so. I do have a gripe with this store though in that each time I visit to buy MDF which needs cutting I have to wait an age for a trained member of staff to attend. I waited 40 minutes on a previous visit (I only stayed because no-one else stocked the product I needed) and today it was a good 20 minutes despite me asking 4 or 5 times and a staff announcement on each occasion. This area needs attention - if B&Q are offering a service they should ensure there are staff to carry it out.

Had a great experience at the customer service desk.the lady there was most helpful aaurrnd considet. Maureen went out of her way to explain that I had made a mistake. The way she explained the problem was friendly and helpful. And not at all belittling. If only more staff in other stories had such member of there staff.thankyou Maureen Regards Bob Miller

Limited and old stock...appears to be shutting down. Staff unhelpful and uninterested. 4 calls made for staff to assist and when the guy turned up he walk past us and said he was on his break. 20 min wait and still no assistance.....and the store is empty. On my way to Homebase now.

Just wanted to say thank you to two of the most amazing helpful staff in the Colchester store. Trish and Mark. We came in with my mother who wanted a fireplace and the one she liked was not in stock. They went out of their way to help and consider every option to try to locate the one she wanted. Truly phenomenal customer service and both highly deserving of praise. If all your staff are like Trish and Mark you are a lucky company. Personal thanks for both .
