Andrew from the collection desk was very helpful. Lifting heavy stuff and putting in our car for us with friendly attitude. Wonderful customer service
A great store to have on your doorstep... they have just got selfscan checkouts which is good... however colleagues on self scan checkouts keep interactions to bare minimum and if you lucky they may even talk to you.
I was in the market for a toolbox to organise all the bits and pieces which, over the years, have gravitated to the cupboard under the sink, into the cutlery drawer! Screwdrivers, pliers, tape measures, spare bulbs, fuses, hammer, spanner’s. You get the drift. Checked out B&Q yesterday evening online, there was just the thing available - a Stanley toolbox. Not too big - £20. Available in store, they even now tell you where to find it - aisle 7. I loved that. I bobbed into the store @ Penryn this afty after work. The toolbox I was after, was on sale on a promotional end - £10 I had the remaining balance of £13 on a Birthday gift voucher, so I bought a new swanky Phillips screwdriver - well, why not - and paid for both with the gift card. The toolbox is sturdy, has compartments, a decent handle. Result!
Pricier than most other places but very convenient and has anything you need for gardening and diy. Helpful staff, easily navigated shelving
Visited this branch of B&Q today to buy item in Black Friday sale, spoke with 4 different members of staff to assist me with purchase, every person was polite and very helpful. To me it was a heavy item and I really appreciated staff lifting, offering to help and putting in my car - thank you!
Similar comments to another review some staff lack politeness and common courtesy. I entered through the exit door by mistake and was moaned at by one of the store colleagues. I then politely asked where an item was and was pointed to the correct aisle. Could someone not of just shown me?
I was in B&Q in Penryn 2-3 weeks ago needing some thin wood for a craft project. I was asking a man Paul his name badge said about the wood, asking if it was easy to cut. Turns out B&Q can do this for you. Another person there Dan was in the cutting area that day and between Paul and Dan they managed very well to sort out my rather complicated measurements. They were both 'extremely' helpful and friendly and the job was done. Paul asking to see a photo of my craft project when completed and Dan saying that he'd only been there 2 months but that it was the best move he'd ever made and that all the work colleagues there were like one big family. So a massive thank you to Paul & Dan, these are the kind of people who keep you coming back and how all shop workers should be. :
Big car park. Easily accessed of the main road but seemed to lack in stock. Had most things but out of stock on some stuff.
Bought some lovely plants well displayed in a clean well ordered store
Bought an own brand hack saw from here. Cuts through bone like butter. If you have a carcass to get portion before 6pm then this is the product for you. Bosh.
