Great Company - no problems whatsoever Had a shoulder dislocation playing rugby, took out AXA PPP cover through my work as it does not count new dislocations as pre-existing conditions. I have been sent for numerous surgical consultations, MRI scans, other tests and had 2 surgeries and they have never quibbled any of it. Every interaction I have had with their staff has been excellent. Only tiny gripe I have is they are difficult to contact on the phone around lunchtimes, but that is extremely minor! Would happily recommend them to anyone

BUPA is far better. Every claim is such a palaver with AXA. Would leave zero stars if I could.

Aweful experience. Made a claim for my daughter and they rejected. Then only today we saw our GP who noticed our child had a possible allergy. GP wrote a letter to and Axa PPP said the underwriters want to see her medical records which cost £50 (AXA pay £20 to this). I already paid for these same medical records 6 weeks ago..and they insist on another copy and another £30 to spend and thus delaying the whole process of accessing private medical care. I would stick to Bupa or Aviva..

I am mortified by the experience we are having with Axa -my son needs to have a minor Day case ear operation which they are doing their very best to get out of paying for. We have provided every letter that they asked for from the consultant who has seen him for previous problems and yet they are still searching for a reason not to pay for the surgery. The operation was meant to be tomorrow and shock horror the lady dealing with us is no longer answering her phone or emails. An extremely disappointing upsetting service- just when you need them they are not there.

Mixed experiences with AXA, some of their staff are great, sometimes you get a difficult one which isn't what you need if you have a health problem.
