Quite simply: do not use. ZERO STAR RATING. Car booked, full payment taken. Booking cancelled by Avis on the morning of booked and paid for hire. Thirteen days and two phone calls later we are informed that it is, for some reason, our responsibility to phone to request a refund despite the cancellation by you as a result of having no vehicle available. Booking Staff appear to be poorly trained. Customer Service centre staff are rude and aggressive in dealing with calls. Go to Europa Car Hire for excellent customer service, free upgrade and no charge until hire period ended. Europa Car offered a 5* service and cost considerably less too! Avis you are a disgrace. Hopefully it won't take another thirteen days for a refund. No surprise that your review facility forces star rating to post a review.

Had the misfortune to break down in Dundee last week, Car couldn't be repaired straight away so had to hire a car, most places were closing and unhelpful, called Avis and the Guy couldn't have been more helpful, within 30 minutes we were on our onward journey again, Great Service, Many thanks
