Avoid.  Only in the small print do you see that you will have to use the local equivalent of the NHS, rather than have the right to see a private doctor. Absolutely not what you would expect from holiday insurance.

I have been very satisfied with all my travel insurance with Avanti for a few  years now since I found them. As a 'senior citizen' with a few age related problems , I do not have to pay the earth as I did with other insurers, & I am covered for all my needs at what I consider to be a reasonable cost, I have passed on Avanti to members of my family & they are satisfied too. I have cover for three holidays this year already, if you get excellent service why change it.

I was recommended to Avanti Travel insurannce by  my Travel Agent who had seen their advert in the JC. Because of my age ( Senior citizen + !) and medical history I  naturally expected  the premium quoted to be high.Instead of this I was more than pleasantly surprised with the quote which was extremely reasonable.You of course need to quote your medical history in full etc.The lady who gave me the quote was extremely helpful and as promised the documents arrived swiftly in the post.You can of course have the option of receiving them via  E-mail.I would thoroughly recommend Avanti Insurance.

I used Avanti travel insurance last year and suffice to say I am using them again this year. Their pricing for a man with heart problems wishing to visit the USA are the best and the service is great.
