Admin staff are incompetent and liars. After 7 months of excuses I still don’t have my medical report I requested. Along the way, I got denials, contradictions and rude responses. Admin staff fabricated issues and not cooperated with my insurer. I even got told how dare I be ungrateful for a service they get money for, quote : “ you do realise this is a paid service “ how is that a response beats me. My insurer is paying them money! Getting a GP or nurse appointment is a lottery. Outdated phone-in system where you have to keep dialling and hope for the best, no queue system! They surgery still pulling covid measure excuses where other GP surgeries manage to do some face to face appointments.
The doctors and nurses are generally kind and professional in this surgery. Unfortunately you have to get past the ring in the morning and hope you get an answer process. The next hurdle is actually getting an appointment. My biggest problem is the dogs. I am allergic to them. I have complained to the reception staff and was basically rudely told to consider going somewhere else . I think they've forgotten that they are supposed to be offering a public service which is supposed to promote the health of their patients. I feel that they increase my feelings of stress which is not helpful.
Easy to get an appointment if you need one. Even if you can't, you can pop in Monday morning before 10 and get seen before 12. Reception staff are all very nice. Most doctors except one elder male dr which I only saw twice about two years ago whose name is not on the staff list are very kind, caring and professional. Giving really helpful advice for our health problems. The nurse are all great too! Best GP I have had in my nearly 20 years of living in the UK.
All the staff at Auchtermuchty Surgery have been wonderful. My husband and I both have serious health problems, and we have been so well looked after and supported. Our usual Dr is Dr Copland, who is so kind and caring; but we have seen all the Drs, nurses, District Nurses etc over the years, and feel we have been blessed by having such an amazing team of health professionals looking after us. Our thanks also goes to the Reception Staff who are also excellent.
Practice policy is to provide the highest standard of care and to act quickly if a problem arises. I have to say they are falling well short of this policy with regards to my terminally ill mother who has been left in agony due to their standard of care!!!!!
Never enjoy having my bloods taken I always have anxiety prior to this experience on entering the surgery I was greeted by friendly staff and lovely dogs which immediately decreased my anxiety levels, I personally think for me this is therapeutic ,the dogs were contained in the reception office, a lovely country practice and thanks to David the phlabotomist for making my experience a positive one too.
Compassionate staff, doctors doing a fantastic job as well as reception staff very helpful in current circumstances well done
Writing notes is part of a receptionist job isn't it? Can't take note of a name and medication now. Place is terrible
Had a great experience here! Lovely GPs and practice staff, 10/10 would recommend.
