Just had my daughters party at Ashton leisure centre it was amazing. Danny and the team here are wonderful and really helpful. my daughter, friends and family had a great time in the pool and the party room with music and disco lights, couldn't thank them enough.nSometimes we forget what great facilities we have on our doorstep that doesn't cost the earth especially when you have a great friendly team like Dannys
Helped run a kung fu club here in the 80s great gym to use with good facilities also has weight gym a swimming pool had some very good times here
I went to swim with my baby. Good that they have the small pool that's separate from the main pool. It's 1m deep with steps going down, and it's in a separate room to main pool. You watch see in from the lobby. Water was a little cooler than I anticipated for a young baby, but otherwise fine. Unfortunately there are so few family cubicles around 6 bigger cubicles, if I remember correctly and the casual swim on a Saturday can take a lot more than 6 families, so they were busy. I had to wait for 10-15 minutes for a changing space to become available, with a wet and chilly baby. Not ideal. Very affordable though - £10.40 for 2 adults and a baby.
Good gym, plenty of equipment, app to track what you do which helps for goals. A couple of times recently been in and Internet has been down which causes problems with certain machines / usage but all in all a good gym
Went for a causal swim the amount of people stood on the poolside on their phones when signs are clearly displayed made us feel really uncomfortable we have paid to have a relaxing swim not have lots of spectators stood poolside all parents of the elite swimming club staff never said anything to them either why can’t they wait in reception till the 7pm session has finished and play on their phones in reception they could be filming us all in our swimwear who knows and the amount of swearing from a group of lads in the changing area when lots for families and children about.
