Story

Ashgrove Surgery is in the heart of Pontypridd and provides primary care medical services to around 17,000 patients including students at the University of South Wales. The surgery is staffed by a team of 9 GPs, 4 Nurses, 2 Health care practitioners, a phlebotomist and a practice pharmacist to help ensure we provide quality health care.

Ashgrove Surgery provides the full range of General Medical Services which is supplemented by family planning & contraceptive services, minor surgery and non-surgical cosmetics (such as Botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers and chemical peels).

A very good Doctors surgery. All staff are very nice. You can always get an appointment when you really need one. If non urgent appointment is needed there is a 2 week wait, which is reasonable. Not sure why all the negative reviews. I've never had a problem and have been with them nearly 2 years.

Would be awesome if you could get an appointment. Especially when you need/want to see a specific gp. Reception staff generally helpful with some being more helpful than others.

I would even give a star if I had my way, the doctors are normally brilliant, but some of the receptionists are in the wrong job, for two days I have been phoned up to book a 48 hour appointment for my daughter but both days after trying for over an hour and not getting through I went into the surgery. The soonest appointment on offer is 5th March. My problem is my daughter started with a spot wart thing on her leg, took the advice on how to get rid of it, it is now quite a few spots and Monday the big one started to bleed and im a little worried it will get infected. On Friday my daughter goes to her mums for a week. The solution is Phone up tomorrow for a 48hour appointment which will be Monday when my daughter isnt with me. Ashgrove this is not the first time I have turned up for an appointment and had to wait over an hour for an appiontment I have book and turn up 5 minutes late on another where the apointment was cancelled. Even Doctors surgeries should have a level of customer service, as I said your doctors are brilliant but the receptionist are a disgrace

Signed up to automated service, had email yesterday to remind me of today's appointment. Got to surgery to be told they are shut & I should have been contacted WHAT A JOKE!

Gone massively down hill since Dr Harris left beffore that dr siddol. Two fantastic gps
