We really could not believe our luck when we booked a last minute stay at The Ashes.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a lovely welcome by the owner of the site. We were given a choice of pitch, Valerie brought us an information pack aswell as some delicious Kendal Mint Cake! 
The site is immaculate - the toilets and showers are pristine. Underfloor heating in the large shower rooms are a luxury.
A most tranquil, relaxing atmosphere was obvious as we sat down for our first cuppa - taking a look at our surrounds - which are stunning. You can’t help but sigh at the sheer beauty and relaxation that is all around.
We met the wardens on our second day, lovely people who could not be more helpful. 
The site is a credit to its owner and wardens. 
Highly recommend, we will be back as often as we are able to!

Spotless, manicured, super friendly, mangers are motorhome owners. EHU water showers hot running water for the dishes if you want it. Extra quiet. Fantastic drainage of grass and hardstanding. Secure. Views... and relax...

We stayed here last year for 3x day's while visiting friends in Kendal. It was lovely waking up to country sounds. The park was ultra high quality and so nicely looked after. We really need to stay here again this year for the same reason. Hopefully we can xx

Beautiful little site in the country, near a farm with all its animals, the facilities are modern and immaculate. For those looking for town facilities within walking distance won't find this here, this is a beautiful little country oasis. The wardens here are friendly and welcoming and keen to make your stay enjoyable, all this just a short convenient drive from the motorway, a little gem for adults only appreciating peace  and quiet I n the countryside with glorious views.
