Well it's changed alot in the last few years if your caravan is over 15 years old you have to change it one of my friends had to leave the other one looked at the vans they got, hers is like a palace her van still looks new to what they were shown.my other friend had to go because it was over 15 years old and her was the same they did not look old inside .now I hear that an American company is taking over in January so maybe it will get better clubhouse not many go there now it's a shame because when we were there clubhouse was full and I have lovely times being at Ashcroft and having a while for a time there.
Pleasant park well laid out and as its owners only there's not the usual problems with holiday makers
Definitely needing a refurbishment it was extremely quiet so great if you want time out from the city
Rhys and Adam are the best grovestars ever we love Rhys fire and Adams singing! I love them both with all my heart and plus they are AMAZING with kids!!!
Amenities where good and great for kids I would have preferred it a little quieter though in the bar. Playground: Ideal for young kids.
To be honest I didn't think much if this place. Was visiting a friend. Firstly it's in the middle of nowhere so you'd need a car to get there down a very narrow 1 car wide lane. There is an in site shop, quite pricey and not all that, there is also a club house on site, but I didn't go. All the static caravans are very close to each other luckily my friend had a nice ocean view but most don't. I wouldn't buy a static holiday home here and I wouldn't pay the high prices top bring family here for a holiday either as I think the site and facilities are not all that good.
We have just spent one night in Ashcroft Holiday Park. Easy to find location 1 hour drive from London. Lisa's directions were very clear, we were able to park very close to the caravan. Lisa was very quick to respond to any questions we had during the stay. Caravan was amazing with the best front window view! Three lovely bedrooms, 2 decent bathrooms. Very clean and neat felt comfortable straight away. Once we arrived we was a little creeped out with the swarms of huge crane flies all over the park sadly we weren't to know they are mainly found in September. We would have enjoyed coming out more if they weren't all over us however that wasn't a massive problem. All equipment was available for us in the kitchen. However just a heads up when using the flora spray for breakfast realised it expired 05/21 but it didn't ruin our breakfast at all. Sadly the children were unable to spend time playing on the Wii that was offered as the batteries were dead. Lisa was kind enough to point out batteries in the cupboard but unfortunately there was no AA's in there. Some channels on the TV lost signal others were fine. Overall great stay, stunning view perfect cosy for a small family to get away from the city and escape to some peace and quiet. There was a kids club with swimming however opening times were not great. Random and confusing.
Caravans are ok nice and clean, But the bar restaurant is absolutely rubbish, you order then to be told it’s not on the menu. Food arrived one at time at breakfast One eats and finishes as the other waits until their food arrives, needs a revamp and kitchen sorted out !!
Great family atmosphere. Children are left to wonder around the park till pretty late so I guess the parents trust the other parents around. Mostly privately owned. Has a heated pool indoors and outside. Shops decent. Not as close to local amentieites as I thought not walking distance
This place is great value in the off-season and allows dogs for an additional fee. In our case, it cost more than one person! The mobile home we were placed in was pretty spacious inside with a large lounge-diner-kitchen open space and had a modern flat screen TV into which you could plug in an external hard drive to watch your favourite flicks. Cleanliness was generally ok but there were quite a few cobwebs and little spiders in corners that should have been obvious to remove. The main bin also had a load of leftover bits stuck to the bottom which wasn't nice, so attention to detail is not great. Most of the homes were also not marked with their respective plot numbers so, as late arrivals, we found it impossible to locate the rest of our party and had to wait for someone to come and fetch us. All the homes are packed in like sardines so there can be a bit of neighbouring noise. We were situated very close to the entertainment complex and thus were subjected to fairly loud music until about midnight for each of the 2 nights we stayed. There is not much around the 'resort' by way of eateries. You have to venture out to Sheerness to get a half-decent takeaway. Overall, it was pleasant enough but I wouldn't want to stay here again.
