We have rescued two dogs from the Ark. A fabulous power machine of a lurcher in 2009. And a gentle king sized ex racing greyhound in 2021. Our experience is very positive and they have numerous kind and caring volunteers. I would only ever have rescue dogs and I would always go to the Ark.

Wonderful place and the people who work/help here are truly amazing. We’ve adopted our beautiful dog from The Ark, he’s wonderful we love him. Thank you Ashbourne Animal Rescue.

Lovely staff you can tell they really care about the animals. They all came out to say bye to our new dog. Would definitely recommend rehoming from here.

We got our cat Tommy here. The sanctuary has a good vibe with friendly staff and lots of lovely volunteers. The place is clean and the animals well loved

Adopted a cat from here recently. You have to call to book an visit, which is different from the other centres nearby RSPCA & Cat's Protection, & they asked a lot of questions. I wondered why at first, but when we arrived it became clear that they used this information to know exactly which cat to recommend! Very helpful staff, informed us of everything we needed to know about each cat, plus what we needed to know as 1st time cat owners. Each enclosure was clean & spacious, cats were clearly well cared for. We now have a very happy & healthy cat

Lovely, friendly, caring staff and volunteers all doing a fantastic job looking after the homeless pets.

We recently rehomed Buster. He is now called Alan and,is settling in well. You weren't kidding when you said he is a fussy eater! He is starting to eat more now though. He's a real fussy guy, and is gradually taking over the house. We love him
