"Even we purchased these!" the very helpful Asda Associate informed us "Much better then the other Brand". The Laila 10 kgs sachets of Basmati Rice had ran out. No wonder. At £14 a sachet they are more competitively priced then local Asian supermarkets pic attached. My son noticed 2 kgs sachets of Moong Dal, a staple amongst Indians. Nearly 0.75 p cheaper than Asian supermarkets. You would have thought Asian supermarkets would be cheaper as the turnover of Asian staples. But if you notice a bargain grab it. Expiry date was May 2026 so we bagged 4. Everything you can think of can be purchased in this Mega Store including George label clothing.
Got a accuracy check on scan and go had to re scan all shopping got told I did not scan cheese and pizza woman re scaned 6x cheese even though I only had 2 and 4 pizzas even though I only had 2! £15 over payed. Called customer service once I seen my receipt was told they will refund me when I go back into the store which is great but the fact I'm 15£ down until I go back and wouldn't of known any different had I not double checked my receipt.
Went to the tills with my trolley only to be told that the tills are closed and that I need to use the self checkout which had a queue. Staff couldn't even be bothered to open a till and serve me. Did eventually manage to speak to a manager who did apologise but reiterated that even if the customer requests to be served at a till they won't be. Appalling customer experience. Will definitely not be shopping at asda again.
Just wanted to say what wonderful, helpful and incredibly kind these two Employees of your Store were with me this morning. Their Names are Sue and Parveen. They went above and beyond helping me and my Granddaughter this morning and they should be recognised for their kindness and consideration. Extremely lovely Ladies. A massive thank you from Julie and Amy.
I've been going to Asda for maybe half a year. The prices are very high... On the shelves, the price is one, but the cash register calculates a different amount, it's good that I noticed, I reported it, it's a real mistake. It's like a good store, polite staff and there are beautiful girls:
They used to fill up at night until they laid everyone off. Now it’s chaos in the day, shelves half empty and staff filling up at the busiest times of the day. Avoid.
Dreadful experience. 21:00h, a trolley full and no checkouts open. Self service only, and no, a colleague is not coming to help, because they're standing chatting. The value doesn't make enough of a difference to endure apathetic staff and lack of respect for customers. Done with Asda, I can get rubbish service anywhere.
Nothing bad to say Parking is ample, aisles are easy to navigate Staff that I've interacted with are super helpful Most of the time they tend to be well stocked, however there will be times where stuff isn't in stock Some days it can feel busier than normal with the rise of folks ordering online. A byproduct of covid so can make navigating the Isles tricky at times but most of the time it's fine Amazing gluten free section, and a lot of variety to boot
08.30 No tills were open had to use self service which I always struggle to use. There were 4 staff members standing talking when I needed assistance. I asked why tills were not open reply it's only early. Scrap self service and put staff who are standing around on tills. Shelves are never fully stocked music is very loud. I avoid this store as much as possible only went in because I needed fuel. It's the worst supermarket I have visited.
There are always problems in this store. Today I took the goods, went to the self-service checkout, began to scan the products, the raspberries did not go through the scan, I stood there waiting for someone to come up, although 3 employees stood idle and saw, after 5 minutes an Asda employee came up and started trying to punch it, although I warned, that the goods are not getting through. As a result, the cash register froze and the computer froze. The worker thought for a long time what was going on. She offered to switch to another cash register, I switched, started scanning, again there were problems, the scales didn’t work, again I was waiting for the employee, he came and tried it, as if something would change. Everyone was very slow, as if they were sleeping, no apologies, with a dissatisfied face, the worker pretended as if it was my fault. Horrible employees, rubbish service. 38 minutes at the self-checkout, it's terrible.
