EditnIt's just going downhill. They rearranged some product but never bothered adjusting the overhead signage. More and more crates blocking aisles. Recently they also installed electronic gates that more often than not don't open so an employee has to stand next to them and wave their hand in front of the sensor. Bad enough that one of the entrance doors is breaking down every few weeks. Shopping there is becoming a proper nightmare and they can't even make it up with decent products because half the time what you're there for isn't available anyways. Lately there's constant leakage in the freezer aisle and the freezers themselves are incredibly filthy.nn---nnFirst of all, the staff are incredibly lovely and helpful! Always enjoyed a wee chat at the checkout but lately there's only 1 till open in the evenings sometimes even none around 7pm? and staff are instead all across the store stocking shelves. It's become a really stressful environment to grab some bits after work lately. Used to be nice and calm even with many customers in the evening but with many tills open and no bulky items blocking half of the aisles. I feel very sorry for the staff having to refill so much stock while customers are trying to squeeze past at such a busy time in the shop. What is going on? Please bring back more open tills, not everyone enjoys self service or your scan and go! And that's coming from someone in their 30s.
What has happened to this asda store. I walked in this morning at 9am to do a shop. The shop was an absolute mess. The fridges were half empty and what happened to the staff pulling produce or products forward on the shelves and giving it a tidy up. This clearly doesn't happen anymore. No nightshift staff ?.One thing is for sure the staff weren't on the tills. This is a real shame as i have always enjoyed shopping here. Tesco here i come.
I feel I'm having to update my review of this Asda. As a former employee, I am dismayed by the messy shelves and lack of products lately. It could be a supply issue for the latter but the former issue- is there not enough staff to tidy it up? Is this not part of the criteria anymore? My own one- the one I worked in the longest- is exceptionally neat and ordered. I feel staff are under a lot of pressure because I know these people, I can't fault them or their helpful nature but what's going on?
I was shopping today but couldn't pay with my phone, after it crashed a day before. I asked if I could leave my shopping at the desk near the tilts? A very nice lady helped me with it. I ran home for my card and went back to the shop. By the time she scanned my stuff, bagged it and even put it in the mini fridge at the information desk. I just had to pay and go! I'm absolutely amazed how helpful and kind she was and everyone else in the store! Always smiling and helpful. Thank You! I love to shop here.
Went in today and bought egg salad filler. Got home to find that when I opened it it contents were black not noticeable from outside packaging. Went back up with receipt and got my money back. Not amused and what I got back was probably less than it cost in petrol to return it!! If it had been Tesco I would have got my money back and a replacement item at least! Inconvenience and lost time out of my day not even considered
