Edit: 7/9/24: Why are the cheapest markdowns hidden under more expensive? Almost got overcharged. Why aren't markdowns being done properly? I'm still seeing expired food sometimes!nnDon't usually have a problem but seems like date checking needs improving. 3 days past use by!! Bought one and didn't realise it was out of date until I was halfway through the bag. This was earlier today. nnCame back to ASDA after I finished work later in the evening and the out of date ready to eat sausages are still on shelf! Someone may be getting food poisoning from this! Guy on till handled my problem fine though and I decided to get a replacement rather than a refundnnCheck dates before you buy, people.
I visited this store this evening to do a big shop . Only for the self checkout machine to keep playing up every other other item I scanned .. was then told half way through I would have to move to a different checkout. All my items were heavy and I have back problems . Half way through that checkout starts playing up too . I walked out , sorry to staff but it shouldn't be that difficult to shop . There should be a checkout with a human if the self checkouts have weight limits as I was told by a member of staff .
No.1 Super store in Southampton UK.nWonderful Place.nEntertainment, Enjoyment, Food. Everything is Here.
This place is shocking! Only ever one staff member on shift. Doing all the orders, cooking and cleaning. The main company is compass not asda which I recently learnt today. This company needs looking into, what's with the one member of staff on a shift about, on min wage. Never have any ingredients to make a meal, so who ever Is in charge of management of stock needs to get that sorted. This place needs taking over by a different company to turn it around.
I recently had an incredibly distressing experience at the Asda in Marlands, Southampton. I WILL NEVER RETURN. The issue revolves around the bathroom entrance doors, which are left wide open, making it impossible to distinguish between the men's and women's restrooms. This lack of clear signage or privacy led to a very embarrassing situation for me. I am an anxious, schizophrenic woman in my early 50’s with trauma from men and this led me to almost have a nervous breakdown.nnAs I approached the restrooms, I couldn't tell which one was which because the doors were propped open. There were no clear indicators or signs that could guide me, and in my confusion, I accidentally walked into the men's toilets. It was an extremely mortifying experience. I was immediately confronted by the sight of men using the facilities, making comments and faces, and I felt completely out of place and humiliated.nnThe embarrassment and distress I felt were overwhelming. I quickly exited, but the damage was done. This situation could have easily been avoided with proper signage or by simply keeping the doors closed to provide a clear distinction between the men's and women's restrooms.nnI hope the management at Asda takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Clear signage and closed doors are essential to ensure privacy and prevent such uncomfortable and embarrassing situations. Until these changes are made, I would advise other shoppers to be cautious and double-check before entering the restrooms.nnSIDE NOTEnnThe women’s toilets were no better. 2/3 cubicles were clogged with toilet paper and since I was in a panicked rush, I left without using your facilities.
