I was surprised to see the price of petrol as £139.7 here when in Scotland Asda charges £145.7 for petrol considering that the prices are supposedly universal in all Asda. Totally self-service. Missing a human touch, especially if you need assistance.
If it was solely based on availability and prices it would get 5 Stars however for a month the Year machine has not accepted coins because the mechanism is full to the Brim so it will take your money but will not give you use of the machine and will not return your coins so back into the car to grab your card as the card system always works it would just be nice f someone would come from the shop 50 yards away and empty the coin box also the pressure from both jet washes when using the Lance for anything other than a cold rinse is horrendous it has no Force the brush works fine there is just no pressure from the jet Lance on anything other than cold rinse the garage regularly has it's paper towels and disposable gloves topped up by a colleague from the store however this person is obviously not permitted to empty the coin mechanism on the air and vacuum machines which is becoming more than annoying I believe I've lost two pound in the last four weeks from trying to put coins into the Machine to get air and due to the hours I'm available to visit Asda I am unable to catch customer services to claim the money back I think I'm going to put my own sign on it next time I'm there because despite me telling numerous members of staff in the store nobody has passed on the information to the relevant person in charge and I'm quite sure I am not the only person that is losing 50 pence every visit and not receiving any air
Truly terrible experience. The new self serve pumps don't work well. Contactless payment always fails, error messages appear even when there is no actual error and once fuelling is complete, the display takes a very long time to complete ie over a minute. Asda need to investigate why this software is so poor
Quick in and out and the price can’t be beat
They need to accept cash payments. Starling bank users sometimes cant use the pumps. Also some rely on spending CASH. If a person is in an emergency situation. With limited option. You aren't makeing all payment options available. Man The petrol station, create a job, win win !
Easy to access and easy to use self service fuel pumps. However, the jet wash is never working when I go to use it.
If you're an independent spirit who loves a good challenge and enjoys mastering the art of self-sufficiency, then the Asda Petrol Station is the perfect destination for you. Prepare to embark on a solo fueling adventure where the motto is "Do It Yourself or Be Left Behind!" Upon arrival at the Asda Petrol Station, I couldn't help but notice the distinct lack of human presence. It was like stepping into a deserted gas station in a post-apocalyptic movie. No attendants, no cheerful greetings—just me, my car, and a seemingly endless array of pumps waiting to be conquered. As a self-sufficient individual, I thought to myself, "Challenge accepted!" Armed with my car's fuel cap and my determination, I approached the pump. Little did I know that this would be a battle of wits and sheer perseverance. The first hurdle came in the form of the payment kiosk. Gone were the days of friendly cashiers who would handle the transaction with a smile. Now, it was all about navigating a touchscreen display that seemed to be in cahoots with my fingers, deliberately misinterpreting my every command. But fear not, fellow adventurers, for after a few failed attempts and some choice words, I emerged victorious, armed with a receipt and a sense of accomplishment. Now came the actual fueling part. This is where true self-sufficiency was put to the test. I stared at the pump, hoping for some guidance or a helpful arrow pointing to the right button. Alas, it was just me and a cluster of bewildering icons that might as well have been hieroglyphics. Undeterred, I tapped and pressed every button until finally, fuel began to flow. Success! But just as I was patting myself on the back, a new challenge presented itself—the infamous "Please Wait" message. Ah, the universal symbol of frustration. I waited, and I waited, and I waited some more, contemplating the mysteries of life as the seconds ticked by. Was I being pranked? Was this some sort of cosmic joke? And just when my patience was about to run dry, the pump came back to life, allowing me to continue my fueling conquest. In the end, despite the lack of assistance and the self-sufficiency test at every turn, I have to admit there was a certain sense of empowerment in conquering the Asda Petrol Station on my own. It's a place where you learn to navigate the unknown, where you become the hero of your own fueling adventure. So, if you're ready to embrace the challenges of self-sufficiency and don't mind a fueling experience that requires a touch of perseverance, head on over to the Asda Petrol Station. Just remember to bring your patience, a keen eye for touchscreen navigation, and a spirit that thrives on independence. It's an adventure that will leave you with a sense of accomplishment and a newfound appreciation for the assistance of a friendly face.
Never been a pleasure refuelling and paying at the pump, I liked a natter with a cashier and usually a public toilet used to be Availble when needed, bring back real staff
A fortune was spent upgrading petrol station but toilets in supermarket are in a sorry state . Doors broken, flushes not working, no soap, no toilet paper, some taps don't work others won't stop running. Money definitely needed to upgrade and maintain toilets.
Won’t be using this station or any other pay at the pump petrol stations anymore , because of the £99 charge that is added as soon as you buy fuel. I’m not blaming Asda for this as it’s a charge the card provider’s have imposed on us for paying at the pump.
