This review is about ASDA CAFE. The gentleman who is billing today was very rude and intend to move me soon. I am not sure what the issue is, but he is not happy to answer my queries. I have to ask twice as he didn't provided any clear answer or show patience to explain. To my question on if there is a pancake available in kids menu, his reply was 'I would have said if it is available'. My kid was eager to know more about the options but I have her settled for a slice of pizza. I showed the ASDA Rewards app to scan, but again he said he already billed me. Then, cancelled the transaction, pulled my card and scanned himself for the payment,as if I am not aware of the process. Sir, There is no need to be rude to customers and its ok to give few seconds, especially if they have kids and need to decide. Other staffs were polite and helpful. ASDA Groceries is always a 5 .
This is a large hypermarket that carry all your groceries needs. Plus, there is a section for apparel & home necessities sports, electronics, kitchenware, school & office supplies, etc.. I like the fact that it has a small fresh meat chicken, lamb, beef and processed halal meats turkey mortadella , beef salami, burgers and frozen ready-makde kebabs, doner, samosas, pizza & other foods. I wish there is a separate halal section to meet the need of the large Muslim community in Lower Earley. Do not count much on the service, as staff are least trained & will never answer your queries, also the huge mess moving around large supplies from 9pm is annoying to say the least! But cheers for the little halal supplies, fruits, vegetables & other groceries. Also they usually open late till midnight, which is rare for most shops here.
Cancel home delivery order and can’t be bothered to even let you know. Thanks Edit I have contacted customer services who have confirmed they do not contact customers who have their delivery cancelled. This is a great policy and is why you should never rely on Asda delivery’s. This was my first and last time.
What an absolute shambles in here today!!!! Had to queue for half an hour to get to the cashier with 2 small children, old people in the queue also. Each till was about 7 trolleys deep. It's the first weekend after new year and in my opinion very poorly managed. There was at least 10 unmanned tills and no staff in sight. I would never go back here again what a waste of time standing around with everyone in disbelief about how long we all had to wait. I feel sorry for whoever has to work in these conditions.
I made an order that didn’t show up for over a week, contacted customer service for like at least 10 times over that period. Requesting callbacks with managers that never actually call you back as stated. At this point even requesting a redelivery is useless because by now everything I want is sold out! Extremely disappointed, they don’t even call or message you to tell you that there’s a delay or cancellation. Last time it got delayed 3 times and even made me stay up till very late at night just for that. Apparently customer service teams also don’t know how to reach their drivers. This is so inefficient like support that can’t actually support. Asda is no longer the store I go to or the best choice. This was my first and probably last time with online ordering from them .
Yes I agree to previous review. The gentleman who served me today at around 4 pm was so rude. He has always been rude. We go there frequently and whenever we were served by him he was just so rude. The ladies who work there are amazing though.
Bakery of Asda should care more about quality. Purchased bread is well under cooked or packed hot into paper bags. Look bottom of loaf. Missing salt is amount common there also.
Pharmacy Friday 13th November. The pharmacy manager & staff were exceptional in helping with meds for hubby that has not been sent through by doctors - thank you Joan, Ash & Naheem.
This branch of Asda is fairly big and it has most of your home essentials. It has big fresh produce section with a lot of vegetable and fruits , It has a huge frozen section ,and it has a world food section with imported food like spices and other items that are not easily found is shops here in the uk. However one of the main downside of this place is that it’s a not that organised. Overall it’s the perfect place to shop if you’re vegan, gluten-free or have any other dietary problems because it has a lot of options to choose from and nice selections
Asda Cafe: Went for breakfast this morning with my husband and 1 year old. The food was cold, the service was slow and rude. The ladies serving clearly didn’t like each other and made no secret of it. We left without finishing our tea which we had to ask for twice If either of the ladies working there had perhaps looked at me or spoken to me long enough to advise they were short staffed or apologise for the wait I wouldn’t have bothered writing a review. But since they didn’t seem to notice how appalling they were, here I am. Won’t be returning.
