To whom it may concern, Our past experience of this store has led me to the conclusion that you clearly have no concern for us oldies who want to pay at an old fashioned till point and maybe have some interaction with a friendly human. Queues at the often lonesome manned till point are allowed to grow to ridiculous lengths that would make Alton Towers blush. I don't blame the staff this is quite clearly a policy of management. A sad lack of appreciation by the company for the generation of customers that helped to put companies like theirs in the position they now are. Self service is all fine and dandy when you don't have a basket full of shopping, arthritis in what feels like every joint a dodgy hip and even if I didn't have those ailments then I would still struggle to see the screen with eyesight that hasn't in all honesty been the best since the mid 90s Yours Sincerely, Mr & Mrs Hughes
Was ignored at pizza counter and when I eventually was spoken to I asked for two Pizzas only to be told she was too busy with chickens unbelievable! This was after glancing at the clock, how dare I ask for pizza at 9.10am It feels like the last thing they want to be doing is making pizzas for customers. Staff at the main counter were equally unhelpful. Really poor customer service, I'm not looking for mega high standards at Asda, just a bit of decency. Manager or anyone in charge was no where to be seen.
An unusually shaped Asda set on 2 levels with street entrance into main shop and parking on the lower level. There's 3 supermarkets in Barrhead, the reason to visit this one over the others? It has a petrol station the others don't
People works on kiosk don’t know how to do pay safe voucher- total disasters
Items are often very close to sell by dates, just bought a bottle of mayonnaise that goes out of date in 4 weeks, it's not even that bad in B&M and other discount store. Very poor selection too, plus items often out of stock. Found refrigerated food that was long out of date on shop floor, how is that even possible? The store must be very poorly managed for this to be happening.
Fresh produce spotty at best and regular best sellers will often be out-of-stock. Passable self-service checkout. Store is helped significantly by range of products and services, with in-store Timpsons,a petrol station, photobooth, clothing section and more. Good in a pinch, terrible for groceries in a town with all major supermarkets within a 2km radius.
first night in my new flat went down to Asda with my credit card. trolley needs a pound which I didn't have. manager extremely unhelpful and wouldn't open a trolley for me. said just use a basket. more like 4 baskets of stuff. heavy stuff. empty house needs stuff big stuff expensive stuff. went down the road to Tesco instead and got everything I needed and more all without the attitude. next time I won't bother going to Asda. manager's attitude put me off. Tesco and Lidl are the same distance away so why not. better customer service there. if you can't be nice to the customer the customer may just walk away. especially since there are two more of your competitors just outside on your doorstep. nice way to lose a good few quid over a pound in a trolley. well done Asda.
Good clean store,checkout girls helpful and pleasant.However social distancing totally ignored and people not wearing masks or hand sanitizing which let the store down
Good food and clothes friendly Staff and very helpful.
I went to Asda to return 2 click and collect parcels. I was anxious how to do this, but didn’t have to worry as I was assisted by Jason who couldn’t have been more helpful and reassuring. I hope he will commended for his customer services skills which is rare to find. Thanks Jason you cheered me up. Date visited 21st October. Rebecca
