Just popped in for some sparkling water on way home from work. Paid at self service. Used if I needed a receipt so I said no. Went to leave store and my trolley locked. Security asked for my receipt and I explained that I didn't have one. So my trolley was put to one side and I was asked to show which checkout I had used. So I took him over to the checkout. Then asked me to go to customer service desk while they searched for my receipt. All this time I am standing by the door with security standing next to me. Obviously this was not a pleasant experience. So I asked for a refund which amounted to £5.25! I spoke to the manager who explained that because I only had a few items the security system didn't have time to release my trolley. Was I supposed to wander around inside the store until I was allowed to go? The checkout asks if you need a receipt, Yes or No. It doesn't state that if you don't take a receipt then you will be treated like a criminal. I shop at this store almost every day but this experience will put me off shopping here again. I'd like to point out though, the staff were pleasant throughout. But the system in this store is a joke!
No baskets anywhere and even on the tills?! Had to take a small trolley with 5 items in and the guy at the tills wouldn’t let me use the quick till, had to wait another 10 mins to use the other till whilst there was 6 by him left open. I’ve shopped here 4 times this year and every time the customer service is horrendous. Absolutely the last visit
I was in store yesterday with my partner and we had our dog with us and we where about to leave the store and the security came up to us and told us to get out that I’m not allowed to have a dog in here. The dog wasn’t on the floor he was being carried. But the problem is that he didn’t ask if the dog was a service animal or anything he just told me to get out and I do have an unnoticeable disability. I don’t think this is acceptable at all.
Air machine is awful, took ages to inflate by just a few psi. Paid 3 times to inflate 2 tyres from 45 to 49psi, then gave up and went to sainsburys where it worked properly and did the other 2 tyres in less than a minute.
Just been in store today and needed some help and the girl called Sarah at self checkout is such a lovely lady...nothing was a problem happy to help always smiling...what a credit to the asda...all the best the porridge guy
Staff member went above and beyond to find a particular bottle of wine I needed for a present. He searched the warehouse and found one box which he brought back to me whilst I was enjoying a chat with his colleague who was busy filling the shelves. So friendly, pleasant and efficient. And the wine was much appreciated.
Always shop at Asda, but today it was awful. Queues everywhere, only 2 people on the manned check outs and the self serve basket and trolley at the checkouts had long queues as well. Interestingly the scan and go was empty. Management need to realise this is not working and it's only going to get worse as Christmas gets nearer. I felt so sorry for the staff who were doing their best, what happened to all hands on deck when there are queues !!!!
Stood at the hot counter for 10 minutes with 3 members of staff all stood there talking, they looked at us multiple times but carried on their conversation, until we eventually just walked off because they wouldn’t even acknowledge us to say they would be a minute. They weren’t occupied with anything just were more interested in their conversation. Was an older blonde lady with glasses and a younger brunette with eyelashes. I work in customer service myself and this isn’t how you treat customers.
Hate going to this store. Past 2 times I've been I've been verbally abused by male pedestrians who seem to think they have the right away to cross the road, whether they are at the zebra crossing or not. The car park is an absolute nightmare to get around and always seems to be over congested. The location of the petrol station is poorly accessible also. Overall not a well planned out store. The store itself is a mess, shelves always empty and boxes of stock all down the aisles.
Absolutely disgusting that they have no one on the main tills after 8pm. I went to purchase a few items last night and when I asked if anyone was on the tills I was told they shut the tills off, and I had to use the self-service. When I got to the self-service, I asked if someone could put them through for me, which was met with a look of disgust. The employee then scanned my item and said, There you go, you can do the rest. I don't want to self serve, if I wanted to ring items up I'd apply for a job. You aren't getting me to do the job you used to pay people to do, I don't get paid enough in one job so I'm not coming to do your work for free. I won't be using that asda or any other asda if that's the way they are heading.
