Un-reliable is the best way to describe arriva bus service in Darlington, we are going to the bus stop not knowing if the bus No. 9 service will turn up, this happens quite regular. Our local councillors were aware of this from the past but if anything there has been no improvement.
Arriva Bus is one of the major bus franchise in the United Kingdom. The buses are clean, neat and they pligh routes from Middlesbrough to Cockfield. The drivers are courteous, professional, and understand the principles of relating with individuals from different cultures. The buses are timely, no delays. You can count on them. From Middlesbrough Bus Station you can board Arriva Bus and be sure to arrive early and in one piece. They give primacy to physically and mentally challenged persons and above all, the buses do not overload.
My teen was on the bus on Friday 10 oct fromnRichmond to Darlington for college, the bus was already 20 minutes late which is fine as it was rush hour, however the bus driver thought it was acceptable to stop at least 3 times between Richmond and Darlington for a. Cigarette break. To a point where people were getting off to join him. Not a great service. If you can't drive fromnRichmond to Darlington without a break maybe you in the wrong Jo .
I would like to complain about the service on North Road Darlington. 3 buses arrive within 9 minutes of each other. You miss one you miss them all. Then there is over 20 minutes before another one arrives. For a main route into Darlington I think there should be a bus every 10 minutes
Just attempted to get on the X66 to harrowgate hill. Driver wanted to charge me £2.30 when it's actually £1.70 fare..shocking service from the driver who should know the fares. Not the first time either.
