I shouldn't even give them a star but one of your staff was very good to us. We placed Dad in this care home so my mom could have a break from caring and now she's riddled with guilt for sending him. Our Dad has now passed away and with all our grief is guilt of sending him to Arncliffe Woolton House. He declined with in a week and stopped walking, sobbed his eyes out daily and I think he was left on the crash mat at night. The room was Always clean Dad was always clean. The thing that is killing us all that the staff Managed to loose Dad's top Dentures and gave us someone else's, I feel sick to the bone thinking about it. No wonder he stopped eating when he was there. Lost his hearing aids. Lost his clothes. Lost his duvet and duvet cover. Dad was always cold and we told the staff he liked his jersey and socks on never listened I asked for his shoes once and was told about 5 different stories. Since the time he went in I felt something was not right the staff never seen to warm up to him or us. Almost like he was a inconvenience. He was well loved and very intelligent man who didn't deserve to be treated like this. We dont want any other family to go through this... Been put off care homes for life...
Lovely care home. The staff are amazing and they go above and beyond for everyone. The fun days they have on are fab for everyone to be involved and join in, couldn't recommend them enough.
Staff are absolutely amazing always go above and beyond for everyone! We came in for a fun day they had held in the care home and absolutely loved every minute of it! Couldn’t recommend this care home enough!
My Dad was at Arncliff Court Woolton House from 28th December 2023 to the 26th January 2024, he was only there for a respite period, but in the few short weeks that he was in there care resulted in him being rushed back into hospital and loosing a toe. This picture below was taken on 27th January, the day after he was discharged from there care now it’s very hard not to see how badly the condition of the foot actually is and a surgeon from Aintree Vascular Department told me that this has taken 7-10 day for the injury to actually get to this stage where the toe is completely dead. Now my Dad couldn’t dress himself so a member of Arncliff team would of had to get him up, showered and dressed every morning & night but they failed to report the condition of his foot over a period of 7 days had this been reported earlier and seen by someone who is medically trained it would not of resulted in him loose a toe. Arncliff are saying they was not aware of any injury and are completely denying any wrong doing. As if this incident wasn’t bad enough these are the several other incidents that happened in my Dads brief stay at Woolton House:- 05/01/24 A lady resident made her way down to my Dads room and jumped into bed with him both naked and where touching each other in a sexual manner 18/01/24 My Dad was found on the floor and they couldn’t tell me How long he was on the floor for and they never got him seen my any medical team to ensure that he had no injuries, plus the fact that there was no sensor mats or sensor beams to alert a member of staff if there was a fall and being a high fall risk this equipment should of been in place from the beginning 26/01/24 Discharging My Dad with no medication and then once we asked for the medication they sent another resident’s medication over. After all these things happening Arncliff Court are not even apologising for any wrong doing and completely dismissing all facts
Such a welcoming and friendly place, staff couldn’t be more helpful and the community events are fantastic.
Our experience of this care home is that it is run by a Management who promises everything but never delivers. They don't answer your calls and don't provide evidence They seem not to care for the residents and the home is not clean. They left my dad to scream for help and did not respond quickly . I would not recommend this home for anyone's loved one.
I am leaving this review as I have lost my nan recently due to bad care in Woolton house. My nan suffered 3 falls in the home and the last fall was due to neglect. My nan was then admitted to hospital and we found out in there that she was badly dehydrated. Do not put your loved ones in this home!
My Aunt is having respite care in Childwall House. The staff have been welcoming and it is clear that she has settled in and she has improved in terms of wellbeing over the last few weeks. It is always difficult to make a transition but they have made it easy for her and for friends and relatives alike.
I recently went to visit my grandfather in Paisley house part if the arncluffe court care home. I am absolutely disgusted and appalled with the service and level of care in this home. Ive noticed over my grandad is always left in dirty clothes while other residents are not. His caffiter is always full to bursting and there is never enough staff. I was leaving my visit on the 7th of july 2017 at 5pm when i noticed that while the staff had set up for dinner there was no staff around. I walked around the home for a member of staff to let me out and none was to be found. For a good 10 minutes not ine member of staff was in the home leaving residents unattended and some were playing with the cutlery left in the tables for dinner. When a member if staff finally turned up to allow me out i saw that the rest if the staff were standing outside in the sun laughing and joking. This is completely unacceptable. I also notice that a week before there was a notice on the door statung that there was an inspection in progress and the place was full of staff doing a "great job" but once the inspectors left it went back to members of staff not paying any attention to the residents. One lady was sat shouting help i asked the staff if they could help he and was told "oh ignore her she dose this all the time".
Look after my mother who passed away on the 11 Sept 2020 very good care. Clean and tidy. Wasn't left in her room We had a very bad experience with another home with neglect so thank you for everything Wendy Gemma and all the staff that looked after Eva keep up the good work
