The manager (Nikki) shows utter lack of experience with no professionalism what so ever. She refused a straight forward swap of an Elite controller using our accidental cover obnoxiously stating you need to contact Microsoft and pointed to a small statement on the receipt and said "its our new policy with Microsoft". I told her that was incorrect and it said to in fact contact Argos, not Microsoft. She cited over 5 more times "Contact Microsoft" time after time i read the statement on the receipt. It clearly says to contact Argos support. It DOES NOT say contact Microsoft at all. She then refused to issue my replacement on the extra insurance i had bought from that store. She kept talking about a new policy with Microsoft. I have a contact at Microsoft who I phoned in the car. He did some ringing around and rang me back. No one in they're distribution team or legal team knew anything of such policy with Argos and the only policies or agreements they have with argos are license to sell the products. He suggested trying another store, see what they say. I went to festival park and it was like a breath of fresh air. Flowing ques, Air con was on, people looked happy. I found the manager, explained it and he saw no reason to refuse the replacement. He asked which Argos and when I said Tunstall he did not look shocked and said hes heard similar stories over the months. Cancelling ALL my Argos insurance on products and spending my money on Amazon. Will tell everyone i know to do the same thing! In today's age I do not expect a manager to treat the customer with the disrespect she did, first to my wife then to me. If I was the area manager, I would sack Nikki as the store is such a mess and her attitude towards the customer is shocking.

Assistant on the tills was very happy and pleasant, however the girl on the pick up desk was entirely the opposite. Obviously not enjoying her work, grunting whilst passing the goods over. Fairly long time to wait for items but hey it is that time of year.Could do with someone who can follow numerical order of goods picked as there was no System at all.

Staff unhelpful keep people waiting in queue while staff walk around the store looking vacant and don't know what their supposed to be doing then telling customers to not have an atitude or will be not be served stay away till they get descent staff

I have been a loyal Argos customer for 18 years but after an appalling experience with customer services manager yesterday who didn’t know anything about helping a customer i am going to rethink before purchasing anything from the Tunstall branch! Went with the same issue at festival park branch and the staff there were very friendly and went extra mile to resolve my issue. Terry you need to send your CSM to festival park branch for training.
