Handy little complete Argos store just off the front street, Easy to order and pick up staff helpful
I took a toaster back today and couldn't have had the most two amazing young men to serve so helpful pleasant and efficient
Very hit and miss, sometimes there's a lot of people waiting for items and queueing other times you can waltz right to the till. Not a large store so limited items in stock but they usually offer to order them in. I use the click and collect for a few of my purchases and never seem to have any problems.
Use this shop at your peril. Rude in adequate staff and the manager is a......I will note say here. However I have so little respect....again I’ll not say. Dreadful service, dreadful people. Stay clear and have a happier life.
It all depends on which staff member you get. The middle aged lady with blonde hair and glasses will go out of your way to help you. She is great but theres another lady who treats customers as if they are a big inconvenience and the way she talks to you is despicable. My hubby went in separately and got same response from her over a different matter so clearly just the way she treats customers. The men all seem very helpful, Although there is sometimes a long wait on collection and they ignore the fact your item is on the shelves and call out people who's item isn't there yet.
I usually have no bother with this store but my little brother approached the store at 17.45/50 10-15 mins before closing time and the door was basically shut on him. On his approach to the door, a female member of staff locked it and just smiled at him through the glass as though she was not being incredibly rude. I'm not impressed.
Upon arrival of this place I found it to be fairly messy. It looked like the store itself hadn't had a clean in a while, not very inviting. Also there aren't any seats available which I find would improve the look and feel of the place. It looks fairly deserted for an Argos store. In a sense that this place does not bring people together. I was searching mainly in the gardening section, the majority of products were unfortunately out of stock. I found the staff members staring at me numerous times, and they seemed to busy flirting with each other as opposed to performing their jobs.Hopefully the next visit shall be more pleasant...
Very friendly, supportive & co-operative staff. I was there on 13th June mid-day and I was low on my mobile battery. I walked in to Argos and spoke to Sandra and asked a favour if they can allow me to charge my mobile. They allowed me to charge my phone. That was really awesome. Good team they got in Consett victoria road. Thanks a million Sandra and team.
Generally has good availability of what you're after, but the staff are rude beyond belief. It always seems to take ages as well even when there's hardly anyone waiting. But it's a handy store to have in town just the same.
Don't buy mobile phones they are selling returns boxed up I bought a phone today that was all boxed up and used and the phone was switched on in the box.... Manager refused exchange because phone was cosmetically OK... Staff all look at me from behind service desk made sure I knew I was been discussed... I've got a return from another store saw hauwei who gave me a exchange ref number and ran a diagnostic test confirmed faulty I will get my exchange from another store as I'm within my 28 days... Moral of the story don't use argos for mobile phones if the service today was disgusting major complaint pending and been took seriously..they happy to take your money but if any faults or in my case I was sold a phone someone has already returned...reporting argos to trading standards... AVOID THIS STORE
