We stayed at Arden House a week ago when we travelled to Harrogate for a wedding. The location of the B and B is great, Harrogate centre is within walking distance. The breakfast is great!! They had so much choice and had a great selection of gluten free options for my husband. Jan and Mark are great hosts.Rooms: 5/5
This review is late in coming but i had to write to say how much we loved our stay at Arden House! We used this bed and breakfast as our home base for our 9 day stay in Harrogate. Mark and Jan were excellent hosts! From the minute we pulled up, Mark was there to help with parking and unloading. The room is a little small but adequate. The beds and bedding were so comfy and the room had big beautiful windows that opened. Even before we arrived, we had a last minute change in our arrival day and it was immediately accommodated. The breakfast at this B&B is reason enough to stay there! So many choices, all deliciously made for you. My husband had the full English breakfast every morning he loved the scrambled eggs and bacon especially!! while I feasted on the most perfect fresh berries and other fruit with yogurt or homemade muesli. There was a selection of yummy homemade jams and a never ending pot of coffee or tea. The other breakfast dishes I tried over the week were fabulous as well! Jan and Mark were very helpful, giving suggestions and directions for our day trips around Yorkshire. Our favorite time there was when we came back from a day’s exploring and sat outside to eat our store bought scones and clotted cream. Jan brought out a tray with a pot of tea, a bowl of strawberries and a jar of her delicious strawberry rhubarb jam! She said we should have a proper English tea! Sitting in their beautiful English garden having tea and crumpets is something we’ll always remember! If you’re planning a stay in Harrogate, I highly recommend Arden House, hosted by the warm and friendly and Mark and Jan!
Great couple. I drove down from London to attend a church conference. From the time I got to the car park, the reception From husband and wife was great. Good breakfast and tidy clean rooms. I'll certainly use their facility whenever I'm at Harrogate.Rooms: 5/5
We recently stayed at Arden House as we got married in Harrogate. From the booking process to leaving I have to say the service and friendliness of the owners was second to none. We only had a very small service and Mark owner agreed to be our witness, and what a fab job he did. Nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple. The accommodation was fab and the room very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, tasty and plentiful. A special touch of fizz on our wedding day was so touching. Jan and Mark are fabulous hosts who make you feel totally at home. The guest house is in a brilliant location for the town and surrounding area.

The breakfast here is absolutely superb. There is a great choice of fresh fruit & cereals as well as a choice of cooked breakfasts. Mark & Jan are first class hosts who are very helpful, & nothing is to much trouble for them. I would definitely stay there again. Food & drinks: Fantastic breakfast .
If you are looking for an interesting, friendly and centrally located accommodation for your time in Harrogate, look no further. I had a nice stay and the owners ate very heartwarming and polite. The breakfast is freshly served and they are all in all very flexible if you happen to have odd arrival or departure times. Rooms: There are rooms in the reception building but there is also the possibility to book a apartment. Nearby activities: The city and park are easily accessed by foot. Walkability: You can get from the hotel to every important part of the city in less than an hour.
I booked arden house very last minute for a job in Harrogate. I've never stayed here before and it's been nothing but wonderful. I feel very at home and super safe and relaxed. The room I stayed in wasn't big and would of loved a double but there wasn't space but it was just what I needed while I was here. Fresh towels and hot water and comfortable pillows. Mark and Jan are absolutely amazing so kind , caring and welcoming they couldn't do enough for me. I had car troubles and they even sorted out putting oil in for me and made me a sandwich for the evening as I didnt fancy ordering anything. I would 100% stay here again and would want to come to support them as there such lovely people. The breakfast also was wonderful especially for a fussy eater like myself the fresh fruit was beautiful and the mushroom and egg was perfectly cooked. Thank you so much Mark and Jan for making my stay so lovely.
Fabulous place, Mark and Jan are superb they couldn’t have done enough for me. Fantastic breakfast and lovely clean room with a comfy bed. I will definitely be staying there on my next trip to Harrogate, thank you both your hospitality.Rooms: 5/5
