I attend the clinic for orthotics. Seen promptly and efficiently. Staff are friendly and really helpful. Adaptations made to suit my needs. Parking is quite limited, but you can park on street for an hour, which was more than enough.
Terrible service. They did not send me any excersies or make me a follow-up appointment, which they said they would in 3 months, disgusting. They said I have osteoarthritis in my right. hip I don't think they even sent this information to my doctor.
I felt rushed, I was very tired today after I was given incorrect directions awhile back, ok my fault for not checking on Google, and taking their word for where they were.nnOverall, I didn’t find them helpful, they seemed friendly I guess. The physiotherapist did nothing in terms of looking at my spine, no hands on. Just wanted to check my reflexes in my knees which I expressed was just done at the hospital.nnBooked another appointment but I don’t think a lot will come of it.nnI think my condition of A/S, fibromyalgia and chronic pain is best dealt with another way.nnI was told different information from what I’ve also heard elsewhere by my rheumatology team. Bizarre!nnI’ll give it another shot as I know where I’m going and hopefully I’ll be more awake, maybe some actual checks will be done.nnNHS fob you off today with so many, “Google this” “search this” style care today!nnI could do that at home. I need what you’re trained in, apparently. Physical therapy. None here.nnIt’s all going private and we know it, the way it’s going.nnThe other day, an emergency ambulance for my daughter was timed at 1 hour 10 minutes, they said if she goes into shock can you get to your nearest defibrillator? Scary! nnI’ve never known it a worse time since the covid blast.
Not impressed. Not my usual physio today. Did not exam me. Did not ask what problems I was having. Wanted me to have injection which I am petrified. Said she knew me as had read my notes. Then she said there is nothing else we can do for you. No support. I have 2-3 discs gone in my back have also arthritis in both knees. Hips. Shoulder and two fingers. Nothing like giving up on somebody
I fell over and dislocated my shoulder, detaching a small bit of bone at the joint in the process. I was warned at York Hospital when it was the shoulder was relocated that the ligament attachment for raising my arm was now in a slightly different location. This would effect my future ability to use that arm. I did not want to give in.nDan was my physio. He has been outstanding. Patient and kind in general but certainly able to let me know I had to do the work if I wanted to improve. Six months later I can almost do everything I couldn't do after the accident. I'm 68 years old. He never gave up on me, nor I on him. He is a treasure.nThank you, Dan, for everything you did for me. I'm still working with the weights, but not managed 5K yet.
