Apollo Beds

Bought a Hercules 1500 Pocket Spring mattress from a retailer that has gone bust. After three years the springs have simply collapsed. Bearing in mind the sale of goods act, and that goods should be "fit for purpose" i.e. a mattress has an expected life of eight years, I telephoned Apollo beds. I spoke to a guy called Azel who was quite rude, denied all knowledge of the sale of goods act and hung up on me. Be warned, the quality of the mattress I purchased was very poor and the company will not entertain any claims! I cant post this without awarding a star, should be no stars!

Bed arrived with Items missing. Provided 6 Castors but only 4 holes for them. Whoever built it has a 6 shooter mentality... everything is stapled on, presumably with an air driven Staple Gun... note Gun ! ?. In the case of cardboard corner protectors, up to 7 staples , top & bottom. The top ones going through the ant-slip Divan top. Lots of holes left. Construction is on the lower side of cheap/shabby. The irony is, that if it had been done a bit more carefully and with an eye to be being proud of the work, it wouldn't have taken any longer to build, in my view. Still, it's good of the Company to employ Inspectors from St. Dunstan's.? Be prepared to carry a BIG hammer ! The Castors have to be driven in, and I mean DRIVEN / HAMMERED ! For 10% more attention to detail the impression would be at least 80% better. Don't think I'll buy another from here.
