This pharmacy is fantastic! I highly recommend supporting this your locally owned pharmacy. I used to go to the Shoppers around the corner and wait endlessly for service and be treated poorly. The staff at Apex are so well trained, kind and very quick. Very grateful our neighbourhood has this fantastic option . 10/10 Service
I had a septoplasty recently done on my nose and had a long list of prescriptions that needed to be fulfilled. Ara Papazian was kind enough to let me into the store and get the prescriptions prepared 15 minutes before closing time. He was also very helpful in explaining each medication, adding some detailed documents for each to my order. A big thank you to Ara and the rest of the staff for being incredibly accommodating on a last minute request.
I cannot say enough positive things about Apex Compound Pharmacy! The staff there are incredibly friendly, precise, and knowledgeable. In a healthcare system that often lacks empathy and true care, this pharmacy stands out as a beacon of genuine support and understanding. Unlike the usual experience of receiving pages of side effects for medications, at Apex Compound Pharmacy, I received thorough information about how and why I was getting my medicine. Apex is always communicative via email and phone, and are on time with everything. They’re very experienced in their field and Ara and April are always available to check in or help with any concerns I have. I highly recommend them! I first came to Apex as I was struggling to get an important prescription refilled. After switching, I got my prescription in 24 hours after waiting weeks with my old pharmacy. They were very effective in getting in contact with my doctor when I was unable to do so.
I walked in to have a prescription made for my 3 year old daughter. I passed the prescription to the pharmacist and was reaching for her health card. She immediately told me the medicine was not covered and there's no need for her to even look at the health card. She wasn't very nice about it either. She said it would be $120 for the medicine. I was expecting it to be covered by ohip so I didn't even bring my debit card in with me. It was already close to closing time and she said she would need a few hours to make the medicine anyways so I decided I would come back the next day. The next day I went to a different compounding pharmacy closer to my house. They filled the prescription for me within 5 minutes and it was fully covered by my daughter's health card. Be careful with this place they are sneaky and they will take your money for fully covered medications. It's quite unethical since medicine is a necessity and many people may not be able to afford to pay for it up front. I was actually lucky I forgot my debit card because I would have paid them. Be aware when using this pharmacy!!!
Unfortunate experience at the pharmacy today. The owner, Ara Papazian, was surprisingly rude, and I found it challenging to get the help I needed. It is so shocking because the owner did not even try to understand my issue.
I don't know how this place has been opened for 30 years. The pharmacist seriously has attitude problem. I've filled my prescription 3 times and 2 of the experiences were terrible with today being the worst. I called yesterday to request a refill and was told they would call as soon as it's ready. I followed up the next day today and was told that I never called because she "answered all the calls yesterday and never ever spoke with me." She then said she could fill the prescription, but it won't be ready until Monday. Her incredibly unprofessional, unempathetic attitude and her unwillingness to even acknowledge that I had called yesterday were the biggest problems. It's called customer service. I will be moving my prescription to another pharmacy.
I have been a customer at Apex for well over 10 years. I have always found the service to be exceptional. They are never to busy to explain your medication to you. If they don't have something in stock they can get it in by 12 noon the next day. They seem to have a diverse clientele. Seniors, young professional and families who live in the neighbourhood. In a big city they exemplify small town values of caring and compassion. AND I find them less expensive than the big box pharmacies.
The Pharmacists are unbelievably helpful in every way and take great pleasure in getting to know their customer's needs. Ara knows what you need even before you do and April is also amazing. The staff are quite helpful as well. I love shopping here.
Ara and his team have been compounding my medication for a number of years now. If I have any questions, they are more than happy to answer my questions. And they make it so easy to get my prescription filled every month. They call me every time my prescription needs to be filled, and ship it out to me that day. I don't need to remember to refill, and I don't mind paying a little extra to have it delivered.
