Amazing food for that price. I tried the Grilled Chicken pho and Spicy Hue style noodle soup pork. The flavors were amazing and warm. The service was quick. I really enjoyed it and will be back again to try the rest of the menu.
This is not the first, nor the second, nor the third, and it will not be the last that I ate there either. Vegetarian noodles are delicious! I love the taste, I recommend this place 100%, my favorite is the spicy hue style noodle soup! Honestly!just go and try it, the portions are big!!!!
This was the first meal we had when we landed in Ireland. We wanted something on the lighter side versus the heavier Irish meals/pub food around. This place came up on Yelp and on Google as highly rated. I am sad to say that I am thoroughly disappointed. The service is the typical fast joint quick service type of environment but with friendly people. The disappointing factor was on the food itself. The flavors were completely off. The bun bo hue tasted like a basic bland bone broth that they universally used and added maybe a small dollop of what is supposed to be bun bo hue flavoring/essence. It tasted nothing like bun bo hue or smelled like it. If they offered shrimp paste, it wouldn't even have made a difference. The satay on the table didn't even save the dish. The hu tieu reminded me of a broke college student living off of instant noodles but making 1 packet stretch to 2 bowls. It lacks so much flavor and all of the table condiments made no difference. I will say I liked the noodles but everything else was just a bowl of sadness. Now the banh mi... The bread was super stale and my mouth was extremely tired from just eating half. I could not get past the staleness to even enjoy what was inside, which was sad because they had all the fixings. Overall this was edible. My friend ordered the grilled pork rice plate. Side note they don't and can't do an egg with it. The meal itself looked really sad and not appetizing. I can't even compare this place to a cafeteria quality type of meal because this was probably one of the worst meals I've had in a very long time. Granted the items were edible, but if I had a choice I would've not eaten it.. but I did pay for it and I don't like wasting food. At least the noodles were cooked correctly and I wasn't eating a bowl of mush. Overall this place is very disappointing for the food, skip it. The people here are friendly-ish and accommodating they let my friend practice and work on her Vietnamese when ordering the food.
One of the best bahn mi sandwiches I’ve ever tried! Would definitely recommend this hidden gem for a visit for authentic Vietnamese food. Definitely coming back for a Pho Bo here. The inside sitting area is quite small and you might end up having your food outside. Make sure you have enough cash on you to pay for the meal as they don’t accept cards, unfortunately. Otherwise, a great spot for a quick lunch break and a gastronomic experience for a fair price.
We had small pho and some spring rolls to share - it was a perfect portion. It’s a generous amount for its price. The restaurant is quite small and cash only - to be honest it feels like home, and an authentic dining experience if you were ever in South Asian having street food. I’m not too bothered by the environment, I find it pretty cosy. The staff were incredibly busy so just try to nudge them a few times and be a bit patient. Overall I’d definitely come back for the food a lot - maybe not for your first dates or expecting fine dining!
Lots of vegetarian options, spring rolls were good and many in a portion. I had the spicy vegetarian soup it comes with tofu and vegetarian 'meat'.. seitan I think. Really tasty and huge portion. Best to go in nice weather & sit outside Vegetarian options: Tofu, vegetarian 'meat'
Much needed clean meal. So authentic and reasonably priced. Broth was perfect. 2Great food. Will definitely be our go to place before heading to Dublin port on future.
I am a regular customer of this restaurant and have come to eat there many times. The restaurant is cash only, the seating is very close together and most of the time it is very busy. The food is probably the only reason for the attraction, I tried a wide variety of food and liked the special pho the best, it was full of ingredients, the portions were huge and tasted great. But the milk tea was not so good and tasted very sweet. The restaurant's hygiene is also poor, the tables are wiped very haphazardly and once I saw a spoon that hadn't been washed very well. The attitude of the staff was very bad, one of the waiters wearing silver rimmed glasses was rude and unhappy every time I ordered and impatient when the food was served.
This is the best pho place in Dublin in my opinion. Delicious fairly priced fresh ingredients. Pho is amazing so is everything. Pho, banh mi, bao, bubble tea, bun cha, best spring rolls I've ever tried and more Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetarian meat options available Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome but seating is very limited and it's small. You would not be able to fit a pushchair inside. Unsure if high chairs are available. Outside covered seating available. Parking: Parking unavailable as the street is pedestrianised but I'm sure there would be paid parking nearby. Wheelchair accessibility: Outside covered seating available but I believe due to the size of the shop it would be awkward to try to get in with a wheelchair and also the bathroom is downstairs with no elevator available so would be inaccessible for wheelchair users. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options available. I believe they offer gluten free options but am unsure.
I really liked this place. It’s the best Vietnamese food I tried so far. My friend sagi and Thanh Tu recommended it! I had pork bahnmi and a large beef pho. This is place is very busy at lunchtime! Now I know why! The food is delicious! You can order fresh noodles with your pho but you have to ask for them. The bread in the bahnmi is very good. I will return here for sure. Thanks to Sagi and Thanh Tu!
