Fantastic experience. Excellent food. Really friendly staff with impeccable customer service. Lovely finishing touches and well presented, really tasty food. We’ll be back, no question.Food: 5/5
We had to have a quick meal as had a train to catch back to London. The manager and chef were amazing, cooking us up a treat meal in minutes that was fresh and delicious. Among the best curries we have had, and we have had a great deal. Next time we are in Derby we are going back to linger longer and sample more of the menu.Food: 5/5
Absolutely fantastic experience. The service was great and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the desi lamb. The portions were very generous and we left very full! The atmosphere was also wonderful. This is definitely one of the best places I have gone to this year and one of the best overall service and atmosphere experiences I've ever had.
Food was excellent! It’s not the cheapest and they have a discount card you pay for, 50% off for two people 33% off for 3-4 people. I think the card is around £90 Due the prices, it’s somewhere to go on special occasions, the service and decor is of a high standard. Overall very good experience but cost it’s probably 25% more than the local curry house. Vegetarian options: They have a full vegetarian option on the menu
Anoki true to its name is a unique experience. We had delicious lamb dishes - Lamb Saag and Lamb Desi. The Prawns Masala contains good size king prawns, and the Chicken jalfrazi is delicious with polau rice. To add to this, we were served some of the softest plain and butter naans with a 'toasted to perfection' crusty layer. To top it all you are served with a variety of sweet chocolate and mint delights. Loved the traditional Kurta Shalwar / Shirwani and pagri attire for the staff. All that was missing for me was a live tabla and sitaar music corner. A must visit... Oh and do take your appetite.... Vegetarian options: Paneer masala Parking: A38 is a pretty fast road, Anoki flashes quite surprisingly fast... Slow down to make the turn in Wheelchair accessibility: The place is wheelchair accessible all around.
I absolutely flippin loveeeeee this place. This was my first visit to the Burton branch but not to Anoki. Their staff are always an absolute delight and always make visits so much fun, it really is appreciated by everyone. Now, the food. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed an Indian restaurant as much as I love Anoki. They serve some incredibly Delicious authentic dishes that are absolutely full of flavour. They don’t scrimp on their portions either!
Customer service was excellent. I got talking to a bengali waiter who was there temporarily from another branch who looked after us throughout the meal. The food was good but not the best I have had, and I would have scored the restaurant higher, but I felt like the vibe was dull in the building due to a larger group being seen to more than everyone else. Parking: It's hard to find the location, but there is plenty of parking on a normal night. I'm not sure how it is on a busy night.
A table of four went for a NYE set menu meal. The service was a little slow, which was understandable considering how busy it was. They brought out 2 broken up poppadoms for four of us, whilst the table of 2 next to us had a massive stack. I did ask for more, which they brought over .... eventually. The pickles had plastic in it, which one of us nearly choked on see photo. Cutlery was dirty and the food arrived barely warm. Considering the experience, I felt like I was being robbed when I was paying the £200 bill
It's a wonderful Indian restaurant with beautiful decor and a romantic atmosphere. The staff wear traditional Indian clothes which makes you feel the Indian vibe. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. A lil bit pricey but worth it. The toilets are clean and have nice scent but the toilet seat is too high for a 5'3" woman like me . They have a big car park but the driveway that connects to the A38 is very short and you need to drive with extreme care when coming off or onto the main road.
This place is fine dining with ambience to match. First time visiting here but the whole experience was eloquent. At other restaurants I've been placed on small 2 people tables was 2 of us visiting but wasn't an issue here as they seated us on a 4 person table without needing to request it. Starters were delicious, I'm generally apprehensive but the fish was amazing. Presentation was lovely. Poppadoms and pickle tray with salad was served they asked if we wanted these We couldn't decide on main course, the waiter was fantastic and he reassured us going far beyond the normal level of service by conversing with the chef to create an off the menu item for us. Not something they usually do but they accommodated it for us. The staff were lovely and they had no issues with any requests we made. Anoki set levels from the interior, ambience even the rest room, hot towels after the meal and choc mints. The details take it up another level compared to others who try to go for a premium experience. Staff asked if everything was good with the meal and if we required anything else.
