Quite a big shop with plenty of choice, friendly and helpful staff who were more than happy to offer advice or help me find certain products I was looking for.
I purchased a couple of sea fishing rods and reels a few weeks ago before a fishing trip.nUnfortunately one of the Advanta reels jammed on my first use, the other identical one was great as were the Advanta rods.nToday I took the damaged reel back to the Waltham cross store and Harley who sold me the reels helped me.nHe organised a replacement reel from Swindon to be sent to me.nHis fishing knowledge and customer service is exceptional, you’re lucky to have him.nThank you

In September 2023 I started to learn carp fishing. Didn’t have any kit so decided to go to angling direct in Waltham cross.nnThe staff there are absolutely amazing! They could have easily told me that I needed the most expensive rod, reel and other essential items, but they didn’t. They took their time and explained everything and there was never a stupid question. I wasn’t looked at neither as “you’re a women, women don’t fish!” I felt so comfortable to be able to ask questions or shown how to a particular knot without feeling embarrassed.nnSince then I have regularly going to the store to treat myself to new bits or buy an extra rod etc. The staff are welcoming and today, Len helped me buy some new equipment and was absolutely brilliant! Thank you Len and the rest of the staff at the shop! You are all very knowledgeable and passionate about youre job. Keep up the good work.
Great place , you can get everything you need from one place , more important the staff are always ready to help & advise.
