Absolutely brilliant place to come and watch the Hawk jets flying over you and landing and taking off bit of family fun my kids really enjoy it .
Not so much the airport. There is an area known to those that like looking & photographing aircraft, called Fraggle Rock. Its at the West end of the runways. There is now a gate, to stop you from going down to, what was the beach parking area, which is a shame as this limits the amount of parking. It is not a car park. So I went on my bike.
This is such a fantastic place. We go to chill out, watch and film the planes for our YouTube channel, North Wales Boats and Planes. It's great!
Watched the planes, which was fun, although it was very windy which made it a bit bracing. Well worth a visit.

I loved every moment of visiting Anglesey being an avgeek made the trip even better, sitting in the car park watching the hawks take off and land aswell as the tucano. Hearing the start up of the t2’s are majestic then hearing them take off oooooo sweet sweet noises. Also being so close to Mach loop is a very good day out even though you may not see to much you might be able to see the few odd planes.
Spent a couple of hours watching the planes doing circuits and bumps loads of pictures taken. Found our way around the other side able to get up close to feel the power of the jets on take off. Brilliant.
Amazing views of the T2 Hawks, and a few great surprises too, if you're lucky. Ticks all the boxes.
Been coming to Angelsey for years, always visit here and watch the fast jets, the kids loved it when they were younger. Even managed a base visit for a suprise birthday and were shown round. Respect to the RAF.
My family flew to Cardiff this morning Thursday 25 July on the 08.55 service. They were checked in by a young Welsh guy. He was very polite and efficient. He gave great customer service.
