Just witnessed a taxi driver from Andrews taxi service diagonally Park himself in a disabled parking space, and refused to move when confronted, he then proceeds to do some in Sainsburys Rayleigh Weir branch. All this happens while Taxi bays and general use bays remain available. I particularly find this rude from a service that should be particularly aware of disabled people's mobility issues. I personally refuse to use bad service of which this company goes on my list.
Drivers are always lovely, but the timings are terrible. What’s the point in pre booking for a certain time, to then ring up and hear “it’s still in the queue, not sure how long it will be, maybe 10 minutes?”. Have found a couple of girls on the phone in the office really helpful and very sweet, one literally couldn’t care less. There’s a prerecorded message on the phones asking you to use the app but the app is just as rubbish- book for a certain time and by that time you’ve not even had a confirmation. Real shame because the drivers are always so nice, but it’s incredibly unreliable which is not what you want with a taxi service.
Despite booking 2 weeks in advance, and calling the day before to confirm, the taxi never turned up and driver never called. Avoid at all costs.
Worse taxi company ever. Pre booked a taxi from the station after Christmas party for 1am, left me waiting 40 mins and kept telling me it’s on the way, it’s on the way and then cancelled!
Super unreliable I'm afraid. Called 2 days ahead to book a taxi for the airport. Advised all confirmed. When nobody turned up on a Sunday morning, I called the company and was advised the timings aren't exact?! What's the point in pre booking then? Several phone calls and pleas for timings later, the taxi finally turned up. Long story short, we made the flight but the taxi was about 35 minutes late which was extremely stressful and unnecessary. Would not recommend.
Awful service. Cab booked for morning airport run 9 days ahead with confirmation email received. Cab never turned up. Utter incompetence trying to resolve. Ended up having to drive to airport and pay for parking last minute. Cost an extra £275. Would give a 0 star if it was an option.Service: Limousines
What a shambles. 40 minute wait for a taxi, then we get a phone call to say it is outside. Well, it was either incredibly small or it had an invisibility cloak on. We tried phoning but the automated system kept telling us there were no operators. The only reason it has been given one star is so I can comment. Ridiculous. It used to be a professional, efficient taxi firm when it was in Rochford.
I was badly let down by my usual Taxi company when I needed to get to an appointment at Southend Hospital. I was now very worried about being late for my appointment so I phoned Andrews Taxis. The phone was answered quickly and the lady took my booking and said the cab would be a few minutes. The cab arrived after five minutes and seeing I was on crutches the driver "Bob" pushed the front seat back and helped me to get in. Bob took me to the part of the Hospital closest to where I needed. The whole experience was very friendly and efficient. Andrews Taxis will now be my first choice from now on.Service: Limousines
I needed a taxi from Heathrow back to my home address in westcliff. I called the day before I was due to land. They said to confirm the booking they would need someone on my behalf to come to their office and pay for the fare. They would not accept card payment or bank transfer - who in this day and age does not except these payment methods?! They actually wanted me to get someone to drive to the office to pay for me?! How are these people still in business?! No explanation to this archaic process other than a very unhelpful ‘it’s our policy’. Thankfully I found a 21st century taxi firm who allowed me to pay by credit card online and the whole booking was made in 30 seconds. I will not use Andrew’s Taxis in future and cannot recommended.Service: Limousines
Absolutely rubbish, don’t use. Waited over An hour for a 30 minute service, then told we had been called rubbish, was watching my phone, then told it was a new order so complete new wait time. Am deleting the app after this and will never use these again.Service: Limousines
