Andrews Take Away

This chippy has been my go to for 3 years and the last few times have been shocking! Orders is never right, one staff member doesn't have a clue what she's doing and the food has just gone so down hill! Definitely won't be coming back

Check your order before you leave, you have been warned!!! Peas were cold , item missing and large cod a joke ,mainly batter and overcooked and didn't taste like cod at all, not nice!! Think I'll stick with the one on birchfield road.

Awful. I've used Andrews on and off for well over 30 years, but the last few times, the food was awful. The last lot of chips we bought were inedible. There were many green ones, a lot had big eyes or bits that had sprouted, sone were black inside, and three in one bag had areas where the potato had been rotten before it was fried. There were very few decent sized chips; they were mostly little ends and hard bits. They tasted old; they were not fresh. We don't agree with food waste, but the lot went in the bin. Sadly, after all this time, we won't be using Andrews again.

Not for the first time the service is pretty shoddy, miserable looking faces and you cant hear them mumbling behind their screens. I was on my bike and fancied sausage and chips, I usually carry only a debit card but have a £20 note for emergencies, ,my bill was £3 ish and they told me the minimum was £5 on a card, this isn't 1997, people pay on cards for lots of reasons. Needless to say the change was mostly in £1 coins which is difficult to carry on a bike. The whole place just irks me so wont be going there again. I think some customer service training is in order or these folk will find their business is slowly going down the pan.

Absolutely disgusting - Burger had an Earwig crawl out of it as I opened the container. Called to complain and was met with immediate denial, manager has absolutely 0 customer service skills whatsoever. Didn’t even get an apology. The Spring Roll was mushy and gross as well. Additionally when we were in the shop the staff were swearing about the football, completely inappropriate when there are customers in the store. SORT IT OUT - won’t be coming back and will be telling friends to avoid! Another once good place gone bad.

We had pie and chips and a piece of cod Well the pie was tepid the cod didn't even taste like cod had a horrible tangy taste so only ate a third if that. This has been our local for over 15 years but we have noticed such a decline in the food needless to say we were both up during the night stomach cramps and the other unpleasantness that follows lots of trips to the loo NEVER EVER GOING TO USE THEM AGAIN

The Best Fish & Chips in Town..Delicious in all matter..Nice Behavior from the staff..Ample car parking...Superb... I would give 9/10Food: 5/5

After this visit ive decided to only eat fresh fish at the seaside where they change thier oil regularly!!!! Only gave 1 star for food as pritty inedible.......Food: 1/5

Have used this chippy a few times over the past 18 months since moving to the area but had the worst experience last night. Service was incredibly slow with other customers complaining about poor service and missing items in their order. Our fish smelt and the batter was a soggy mess. Won't be returning.

Awful!! Earwig in salad of burger. When rang to complain they were not interested! Shame as used to be very good. Won't use again
