What an amazing find! This is one of the best restaurants I have been to! The lamb was perfectly cooked, it was meaty thick and juicy I am thankful for the complimentary flat bread with dips, it was so delicious we almost finished all of it I also loved the rice as well
Visited on a Wednesday night with a group of friends. I pre-booked a table using the online booking service, which was easy to use and had confirmation very quickly. We were a party of 6 and were given a spacious and comfortable table in the corner of the restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient and the staff were able to cater to our tables dietary requirements. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. I had the lamb stew which was delicious! Full of flavour and meat so succulent it literally fell apart. Our group only get together roughly every six months so we spent a long time just sitting chatting. The staff were very accommodating of this and we didn't feel rushed to eat up and get out. All in all it was had a lovely, relaxed evening, with beautiful food. Will definitely be returning as soon as possible!
Beautiful restaurant with some super nice decoration. Food is ok - I have had better Turkish and portion isn't the most generous and is a bit pricey, but I guess you're paying for the service and atmosphere which I can't complain.Food: 4/5
Service was really good. Staff are just the right amount of attentive. Food portion sizes are good. The place is well lit, clean and tidy. There's a good amount of seating available. I did book through the reservation system online however no one confirmed the booking. We decided to chance it anyway and just drove down since it was mid-week and it was fine. Would come here again
Interesting interior design but its suitable for its name. Located in the St Giles Street. Spacious seating areas for dining and cocktails. The food was good, hot and cold meze options were delicious. Kebabs were tasty as well. The service was fast enough and staffs were friendly. Ordered set menu for 2 people and its come with salad, dessert and big portion of burgur and rice. You can order 2nd bread plate with money.
My 1st time on a solo dinner here, and I'm having a good time. The meal is lit, the atmosphere is quite endearing. Service is quite good too. Went for lamb chops and ate to my fill, with leftovers to take home. Will recommend.Food: 5/5
Excellent quality food and service. Very attentive staff. Whimsical ancient ruines decor might not be everyone's cup of tea, but personally I love the fun character of the place.
There have been a few Turkish restaurants open over the past couple of years in Northampton, so we thought it was about time we visited one. We booked a table online for a Saturday evening and had a very warm welcome when we walked in. It was quite busy but we still had a good choice of tables to sit at. The decor was unique and the whole restaurant was clean and tidy. I chose the TAVUK GUVEC / CHICKEN CASSEROLE, A traditional slow cooked casserole containing diced cubes of chicken with mushrooms, onion, peppers, cooked in a authentic tomato sauce, served with rice. My wife had the YOGURTLU TAVUK SIS / CHICKEN SHISH WITH YOGHURT, diced breast of chicken charcoal grilled on skewers & croutons topped with yoghurt, fresh tomato & butter sauce, served with rice. The food was freshly cooked, extremely tasty and arrived in ideal time. We didn't have desserts as the mains were very filling and the complimentary breads with dips as a starter and the limoncello after was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly, helpful and you could tell the owner was very proud of what he had achieved. The bill came to £55.55, including the two mains and 2 glasses of wine. Also included was a 10% service charge, which is a personal annoyance of mine when there are only two people dining. Overall I would have given 5 stars, but loses one star for the service charge. We will be back, hopefully then the service charge has been dropped.
Really disappointing. We saw the reviews and thought it would be nice to order a takeaway from here. I ordered with a delivery time. I arrived 10 minutes early thinking I might get a drink first only to find out that my order was ready. Straight away alarm bells were ringing. How long had the food been sitting there? Still I thought we shall see. I had stipulated that as one of us was vegetarian that the meat and veg be kept separate. It only took 5 minutes to get home, to find the food was luke warm at best. We had ordered two sharing platters which should of been enough for four persons. It wasn’t enough for two! There were only two meat kebabs, four chicken wings, three ribs hardly any meat on, two squid rings, four tiny baklava and a pudding that was disgusting. Not only that when my wife bit into the meat kebab it was raw! I enclose a picture as evidence. After that the meal went in the bin. I did call and email several times, but no one bother to contact me. Eventually I did a visa dispute and was reimbursed by visa. Funny the next day I got two calls from the restaurant asking why I hadn’t paid. All in all I would recommend you stay well away.
Large clean Turkish restaurant. Ordered mix grill and baklava for desert. Was served bread and sauses to start, food was delicious, only down side was the rice didn't taste fresh and was flavourless. Baklava made in house & comes with ice-cream. Friendly and quick service. Overall a very good experience, improve rice quality and flavour for 5 stars.
