Called in here yesterday to have a look at lighting and there was a great selection with items of furniture and nick-nacks. Did not intend to eat in cafe section but ended up having ham, eggs and chips which was delicious. The couple next to us had a huge burger and a chicken Caesar salad which looked very appetising. Staff were very informative and friendly. Will definitely return.
Have visited this cafe many times however will not visit again. Tried to book a table for Sunday breakfast and was informed they now require a £50.00 deposit even though we have regularly booked tables before. Talk about a cheek they obviously do not appreciate loyal customers and treat them as an inconvenience.
Lovely breakfast, can't fault it but unfortunately putting a large group of people on a table in the back room meant that any conversation is drowned out by noise. If you want a quiet meal it might be worthwhile requesting to sit in the main cafe rather than the back room.
The staff were lovely but the food was very poor three small sandwiches cheese scone a few cakes just a few prawns on side crisps tiny Yorkshire pudding £68-00 for three of us needed my tea when I got home
Really good breakfast here, again, with a side of interior lighting. Bang on Food: 5/5
Really not worth your time have tried a few times now, benedict sauce is about as good as they get! Such a shame, very poncy for what they charge, you think it would be high quality food, seems frozen, do not really care for customer service or requests/dietary requirements. Maybe turn yourselves into a Karen cafe. Such a let down for North Hykeham. Really don't understand why some people go into this service then have no clue how to do it!
I went for afternoon tea and had a couple cocktails and found out they were pre made as when server came to the table apologised for the lack of mint and lime in the mojio. When we recieved the afternoon tea the cream pot had a use by date of the 16th October when the current date was the 23rd October. This was asked about and they said it frozen and so was fine. For the money I would have expected better and don't expect any products frozen or not to be given to a customer out of date anywhere, especially somewhere charging these prices. The rest of the afternoon tea was nice, but just these couple issues that shouldn't be happening.
Very busy lunchtime, lots of cars so careful when parking. Lots of lovely food. No good if you're in a rush. Very nice staff who seemed a little rushed of their feet!!!
Wonderful range of food and drink, outstanding staff and a great new area out the back ... Add in a drinks licence and you really don't need to go anywhere else ... Thank you so much, a pleasure every single time we visit ...
Ordered 8 savoury afternoon teas for my husband's 60th birthday celebrations over the jubilee weekend. Ready on time for collection, freshly made and cooked, and well labelled as we had dietary requirements. The selection was very varied and so tasty! The quality and attention to detail even down to the garnish, was outstanding. Great customer service and certainly recommend
