I've found the medical practice to be very helpful during lockdown. I got in touch regarding my mental health and was able to schedule a telephone appointment. The team have been very helpful so far, thank you for all of your help.
Have tried calling their phone number for three hours solid now! no answer. Disgusting for a GP Practice, claiming every penny from the government for having patients on there list whilst failing to provide the most basic of services. Employing someone to answer the phone might be a good start but from reading the other reviews there might very well be little point to you answering if you apparently can't provide a service fit for purpose. Changing practice today and hope others follow. It may be a little more inconvenient for me but better than nothing, as I am getting now from this pretence of a 'doctors' practice.
The "Prescriptions line" is a disaster, so far today 43 attempts to get through in the restricted operating hours. One it actually rang, only to be unanswered. Definitely need to do better
Absolute joke. Can't get an appointment within 2 weeks. Here's the kicker, they can't book any appointments more than 2 weeks in advance. Wait so how do i actually book an appointment, aye makes sense right enough. I am then told I can have a clinician phone me back to see whether or not I need an appointment. Because I just like to phone for a conversation and not capable of making that decision for myself. To add to it the receptionists always try to ask what's wrong with you to ascertain whether you need an appointment or not. Oh wait I forgot you need to train for 10 years to be a receptionist haha get a grip and start filling appointments with patients.
It's the 15th March but just been told there are no appointments available until April.. A complete joke of a service, last time I went I was given at least £30 of free painkillers etc, one appointment at a chiropractor later and no pain, you don't have to avoid this place it avoids you.
Edit: After a second opinion I finally managed to talk to a doctor. Waiting times and phone service are still a little bit too slow very often.
It is our local health centre.
