Altaf Khan Restaurant.
The proprietor of this restaurant Mr Altaf Khan originally opened Tranent’s first Indian Restaurant ‘Kashmir Valley’ in 1999. During these early days Mr Khan used to be the Head Chef and quickly built up a reputation for serving mouth-watering cuisine which won many plaudits and awards. In 2007 Mr Khan leased Kashmir Valley to pursue other business interests. After a hiatus of 9 years he has decided to return and run the business.
Kashmir valley has been re-branded as Altaf Khan Restaurant.
A comprehensive refurbishment has been carried out and the restaurant can now seat up-to 65 people. It is available for parties, functions and weddings. Private dining and banquet room is available for parties of up-to 25 people.
All food is prepared with the freshest ingredients.
Our mission is to ensure that each guest receives prompt, professional, friendly and courteous service. To maintain a clean, comfortable and well maintained restaurant for our guests and staff.
