Brilliant service… After waiting 30 minutes for a taxi I had pre booked with DG cars by this time being late for work. I rang Alert cars and had a driver with me within 10 minutes. He was very polite and his car was nice and clean. He was also nice eye candy so that was a bonus lol Would highly recommend Alert Cars.
The dispatcher was very polite, but I waited outside for half an hour for my cab that never showed up. Called and was told he already had been and gone. First time using this company. Will never be using their service again. I recommend D&G instead.
Booked night before for a 5 seater cab In the morning to the train station. In the morning I called them to confirm and they said yes taxi will be there. 10 minutes before my pickup time they rang and said they can't get me a 5 seater but can get me 2 taxis but they are coming from town which would take 20 mins to get to me meaning missing my train. Absoloutly shocking!!!!!!! Will.never use again
Ordered a taxi the previous evening, rang 5 mins before it should’ve arrived and the automated system told me they were still trying to find a taxi, no communication from them at all, unable to speak to anyone so cancelled and got an Uber taxi that arrived in 6 minutes. Will not bother using these again
Called for a taxi 2 hours in advance and they never showed up. Called again 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time and they said it was on their way. Called back about 3 more times until the taxi finally came 1 hr and a half late and had to wait. Couldn't believe the service and exuses so I refused to pay. Will never use them again and am surprised they are still in business. All these 5 star reviews are either fake/paid for as I believed them. Never again.
Order a taxi last weekend, ordered it 3 hours in advance and it was still 40 minutes late, despite calling twice. Then my mum called them today to collect us when we got off a coach in the city center, once again didn't turn up on time despite calling twice so we ended up standing in the pouring rain for 30 minutes. Won't be using again. Avoid
Always use Alert Cars when in Nottingham and they have always been 15 minutes early for my airport runs.Safe drivers and nice drivers too.Always have a little chat.with them on the way. Down point?? Well, their office could do with a little make over!! but you can't have everything can you??
I have been using Alert Cars for around twenty years, in all that time I have never had a car not turn up. I have had emergencies and Alert Cars have gone out of their way to assist. The switchboard team are friendly and I know all by voice. They let me know if the car may be late and it is almost always there within 15 min, vary rarely more than 20 min. It can only be expected that you give them time to organise and arrive. I know alot of drivers by name now and all are friendly, they all know my father and myself by name. I personally won't use another taxi company while Alert are operating. They are friendly and reliable.
Thanks to one of alert cars drivers pulling out on me on a junction, making me serve and hit another car. i am now without my no claims discount. Would not like to say this is an honest company, and the driver should be more responsible when he has the company logo on the vehicle
Not even worthy of 1 star. Made 6 of us 3 of them children stand waiting in the cold for 25 minutes for an 8 seater this evening. After 2 further phone calls and several lies from the operator, a 5 seater turned up- useful! Tax driver said we can send another so you can have 2... yeah i bet you can. I'll sit here another 25 minutes and pay you double shall I...no thanks! I phoned Ideal cars and they arrived within 10 minutes.
