Alberts Bar and Grill

Firstly, it was very good to find this style of restaurant available in Harrogate as an option. On this occasion one needed to book for St. Valentines Day. I gather that Saturdays are quite busy too. The salad bar had an excellent and colourful mix of veg, carbs, pickles, and condiments. The servers were very dilligent in bringing the various cuts of meat around. My only adverse observation is that the well done cuts didn't come around as often as medium rare ones, so had to wait a good 15 minutes before my first piece of succulent beef passed my lips. Everything eaten was delicious though. As the St. Valentine's package was a set price of £45 per person, including a glass of prosecco and dessert, we thought this was very good value for money. Our first visit here and was well impressed. Excellent food that would keep coming if you wanted it to. Great selection of meats, great salad bar to accompany your meat. Staff very friendly and helpful. Was out for a wedding anniversary meal and were treat to a complimentary drink. Manager took great care of us both. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic experience, fantastic food and fantastic service. Our first visit here and I was quite impressed. Eventhough being a busy day because it was mother's day, we had excellent service and the manager took such good care of us. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely visit again.

Perfect food and a huge huge selection! Amazing cocktails. We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised with a complimentary slice of cake with a fountain! Service and the staff are outstanding!Food: 5/5

Love coming here! We come to Harrogate once a year and always come to Estabulo. Great selection of meats and you always leave very full! Particularly impressed with Stewart who was chatting to every customer and got stuck in with the serving, made an already enjoyable night even better!

Having heard good things and being avid meat lovers we thought we'd go. The salad bar is excellent with a fantastic selection for you to choose. Then theres the main event, around 15 different cuts of meat for you to try served at the table. The meat however tasted very salty and not what I was hoping for. We tried them all and to be honest I was getting a bit sick of the salty cooked in brine taste. When asked where the meat comes from I was told it was imported from Portugal. Just something to be aware of as European welfare standards are not the same as they are in GB. If you care where your meat comes from and avoid all the air miles We liked the experience but wouldn't be rushing back. The meal came to £96 with a beer, glass of wine and dessert. Service charge added on so not cheap for 2 people!

I can’t thank Angelo, Adam & Laura enough for their amazing hospitality today. We celebrated our daughters 18th and they made us feel so welcome & our daughter feel so special, nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is out of this world! Well done to you all for giving us an amazing experience, we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately my visit did not live up to my expectations. Having booked an 'experience' for valentines day I was excited to see what was coming. Upon arrival we were seated promptly and having never been before all I knew was keep the paddle green if your hungry. It was around 15 minutes before a staff member came over and told us how their dining concept works very much a self serve buffet for everything but the meat. The valentine's menu boasted a selection of over 15 meats however less than half that was actually offered 3 beef and 3 lamb before we came full circle back to the first one. The gap between each cut was also too long when your having a meal you want to eat it all at once or at least in one sitting but when there is ten to 15 minutes between each singular cut of meat your meal has dragged out over 90 mins and youve probably stuffed yourself on the salad. Service was poor from the beginning and continued to be poor throughout. This isn't a jibe at the staff as everyone was more than polite and professional but I didn't feel a sense of urgency from anybody. Simple order of fries took well over 15 minutes to arrive at which point there was no further need for fries. Also had to ask multiple times for crockery which again didn't arrive. Didn't want to spoil the evening for myself or anyone else by having a word but truly not what I expected from a major restaurant. The food itself was also nothing special hence the 1 star review the best thing was the salad even the drinks were 75%ice and with paper straws meant if you took your straw out or lifted it up again it was never going back in as it just went soggy. If you were to ask me it wasn't money well spent and I won't be going again or recommending it.

Really disappointed with Estabulo tonight. We had been thinking of going for a while but it’s not cheap so waited till special occasion - my sons 9yr heart transplant anniversary ! Despite mentioning it when booking online and asking it to be made as special as possible for him - nothing was mentioned at all and service was pretty average. The meats were ok but most a bit over cooked, we did get some nicer rare stuff when we asked. salad bar ok. Over all for £32 per head it was all a bit too expensive for what it was and the lack of any real warmth etc from staff disappointing given such good previous reviews. Would head to Miller and Carter instead next time where we have eaten much better with really great staff in the past.
