This is one of my favourite favourite places to be. Thursday. Friday and Saturdays. Live music of massively varying styles and once that's over the whole place continues to bouncing into the wee small hours. I only have one complaint that new staff on the bar need quieter time training as had to pull them up extensively on varying prices on same drinks, longer standing staff don't this.
If you like sticky floors and toilets you can swim in, you'll love it. Live music venue. Kinda unruly but in a controlled way. You'll be fine. Beer is reasonably priced. . I think I saw Cher having a drink at the bar.
This truly is a fantastic place for live music and drinks with a great choice at hand... As the night progresses the men's toilets leave a little to be desired, without any sign of a regular check, or at least it didn't appear so on this visit. But overall for a night out in Shrewsbury town, you couldn't pick a better place for good live music, drinks and a dance! Only real downside to this visit, the occasional chav that was determined to be an idiot... But as one ages, you gain more of a tolerance! Definitely won't be my last visit, #carleasingguy recommends Albert's Shed in Shrewsbury.
I’ve had a coat stolen from here a few times so i wish that had some form of cloak room, especially as it gets colder i don’t consider this a place i can go without losing the coat i bring. when i asked bar staff to ensure a coat wasn’t taken they said it wasn’t on them to protect it. also it’s quite annoying to go to the alternative night on a wednesday and it being the music every other club plays and when i have said to the dj he says more people dance to the club music which i have never seen reflected in the dance floor. quite disappointing and makes me reconsider coming back.
Spacious music venue and drinking house. Great staff. Drunk kids ruined it a bit.
Great place and atmosphere. Gets very busy so be careful with your possessions as we had a bag stolen from here. Staff helpful the next day but no joy unfortunately.
Fantastic atmosphere, great live music & unique decor. Approachable door staff & friendly bar staff. Complete mix of people enjoying themselves.
Love this place, even better with the new floor and the live band was awesome.
The toilets aren't kept very clean, take your wellies. Apart from that does what it says on the tin. The "real ale" is usually minging too, beware.
Decent bar, with some good beers on,but it's the music that makes it worth the visit. I've played a couple of times here and watched other acts. The sound is always great and the crowd has great vibes.
