A gorgeous Victorian style decor, boutique Hotel with beautiful rooms and views to die for. I feel it’s a must do in Glasgow for an authentic local experience; will certainly come back here for a longer stay. Breakfast was delicious the best croissant ever ever had. they make it fresh right after your order. Very polite and courteous staff.. Highly recommend this place, if you’re in Glasgow for a couple of nights or even more. Rooms are designed for a couple; elegant bath area and marvelous old style windows. The locality is surrounded with gorgeous Victorian, architectural structures and a beautiful tennis lawn and see folks practicing as well. Place must be of significance at some point of time, you can tell by the demeanor of the street as well as the area around it. Thank you.
We were only in Glasgow for one night during our Scotland adventure, and could have not picked a better place to spend it. The Alamo Suite with Park Views was spacious, luxurious and featured the best bath tub and walk in shower! Breakfast was delicious and the staff was amazing. We spent a full day of golfing prior to arriving and owner Tehmeena and her husband arranged a personal late check-in. They shared the history of the guest house and are truly committed to an exceptional guest experience. This guest house is extra special and a must try in Glasgow. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
We loved our one night at the Alamo Guest House! We rented two rooms for the 4 of us, and all agreed it was a great stay! The beds are very comfortable, the shower has great water pressure, the temperature was PERFECT, the carpet in the Suite was the softest I’ve ever felt, and the staff and breakfast was wonderful! The staff was just so accommodating and helpful throughout the stay, answering any questions we had and making us a dinner reservation! There was a great pub nearby called The Park Bar 2 minute walk that I highly recommend for a local drink. We would absolutely stay here again! Walkability: Many bars and restaurants close by Food & drinks: The breakfast was incredible!! Extensive hot and cold items available!
We stayed at the Alamo for our wedding. We booked out the majority of the rooms and the staff could not have been more welcoming. All our guests had a wonderful stay and spoke very highly of the team at the Alamo. On the morning of the wedding, the team helped arrange breakfast in the bridal suite and were very happy with all the different suppliers dropping in and out. We would like to say a special thank you to Jennifer who from when we popped in on a random week day to discuss our stay to replying so promptly to all our emails, she really made the stay run so smoothly. Would highly recommend the Alamo for any stay.
Just returned from a great night out in Glasgow staying at the guest house. The room was fantastic, we got a gorgeous breakfast in the morning and the staff were amazing. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Glasgow.Rooms: 5/5
Best place we've stayed in a month touring Scotland. Quiet, beautiful, safe. Superb breakfast. Lovely staff. Impeccably clean. Near bus lines and major taxi thoroughfare. Many good restaurants in the area. Highly recommend but not for childrenRooms: 5/5
Went for a massage here with an it is on voucher and definitely worth it. Lovely place with beautiful decor. I had a hot stone massage and left feeling very relaxed. Special thanks to Henrita my massage therapist.Hotel highlightsGreat value
Best location for the west end. Quitely tucked away looking across the tennis courts. The perfect little find. The staff are super nice. The rooms are impeccable. Our bathroom was on the small side. The breakfast was mouth watering delicious. I will most definitely come back again. Walkability: Walking distance to the art gallery, all the amenities the west end has and more. Perfect.
Awesome and unique guest house. Very polite and great service. If you’d like to experience a truly „British“ hotel, this is the one.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here for two nights. Wonderfully welcoming and hard working staff couldn't do enough to help. Room was spacious, well equipped and comfortably furnished. The building as a whole was well maintained, beautifully decorated and situated in a quiet back street away from traffic and pedsestrian noise, backing on to a lovely green park, which is a pleasure to walk through. Despite this conveniently situated between the site centre just one mile away and the beautiful botanical gardens one mile away . Breakfast was generous and very nicely made, continental or cooked to order. Lots of lovely eateries, for all tastes close by. The price was very reasonable considering the quality of the accomodation, I paid more for a much less comfortable hotel in the highlands. Would thoroughly recommend
