As a self proclaimed indian cuisine expert, I can't help but validate the dining experience I had at Akbar's. I went with a lot of my friends so I got to taste different kinds of dishes. All of them had exquisite taste. The restaurant was spacious and had a classy ambience. 10/10 will go again

As Akbar’s got plenty of reviews thought to give try on my next visit to Glasgow. Finally got a chance to visit last Sunday. We just walked-in without any reservation got a nice seating next to window. Restaurant ambience is stunning. Service is great. When comes to food We ordered chicken pakora and chicken Nambli taste is okay but portion is not worthy for price. I tired their Haleem which is outstanding only because of Haleem I rated 4 or else I could have given below. Chicken biryani is worst on overall order, I’m not sure it usually make like that here or only today. Mine is so smelly and can’t able to eat single piece of chicken. I’m fond of biryani but this is totally rubbish. Washrooms are well maintained on my visit and plenty of parking available next to it.
Went here to have food with friends. Starter was good. Had to return the main dish as the chicken was like raw and curry had no taste at all. Ordered the huge family nan to eat with it. Bit pricy as compared to other decent restaurants .
Suitable for larger companies, groups of friends or family alike. The atmosphere is made for sharing and conversations. Some meals are amazing. Especially the common Indian dishes we eat in the west. It is a lovely place for Indian food. There is always room even for larger companies. But I recommend calling in advance. Quick service and consistently tasty. I have been here 30+ times and will definitely keep going. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options! Parking: There is parking nearby. Most of the times the street crossing suchihall street has some places left.
The food was delicious. But our waitress Anusha was absolutely amazing, so helpful, attentive and on the ball. I thought she was wasted there and guess what she is doing Her masters in Artificial intelligence
Food is amazing. Great portions and quality is on point. A little more expensive than other similar places but makes up for it in quality.
To be very honest. Food taste 2/10 service not very professional like it use to be. I would personally not recommend this place.
Family naan is absolutely the show stopper. Everything tasted really good. Very nice place to dine with family.Food: 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised by their quality of food, after having had a few disappointments in the name of Indian/Pakistani food at various restaurants in Glasgow. Fresh food, amazing breads. Their take on Nihari is a must try, and if you are looking for fresh chapatis not just the reheated packed stuff that we got in other restaurants I would highly recommend.
