xx THANK YOU FROM THE Callender / Latty family"},{"text":"To all at African Caribbean Funeral Services: On behalf of the Clarke family, I would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you for your help and support in arranging the double funeral of my father and mother, the late Charles and Barbara Clarke, on 25th of August 2021. You provided an outstanding service. The entire family commented on how impressed they were with the high level of professionalism they observed from start to finish; ensuring a difficult and upsetting day ran smoothly. Everyone present at the funeral expressed how much our parents would have loved your creativity with the personalised touches, such as your staff wearing the colours of the Barbados flag and the Island flags on the cars to represent our loved ones. Your hard work, dedication and compassion shone through and your attention to detail gave us all a day that we are extremely proud of. We would highly recommend your services."},{"text":"I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the efforts of both the management and team at ACFS who demonstrate a level of kindness and professionalism that has been unmatched in my experience. They go above and beyond to ensure grieving families are receiving bespoke care for their loved ones final journey. They remain a pillar in our community in their specialist field and do a difficult job with the utmost pride and grace."},{"text":"From the very beginning, the African-Caribbean Funeral Services team treated my family and me as if we were their own family. Mr Colin Carter always made time to accommodate us even treating us to meals. We were pleased that he officiated the funeral service. Abi Sesu Carter was professional and friendly, and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Mrs Carter was pleasant, as was Tanya McNeish. Shawn—I can't remember his surname, but he's American—was nice too. Daniel Sesu, who dealt with us at the viewing, was polite & welcoming. There are others whose names I didn't get, but I have only positive things to say about EVERYONE I encountered at African-Caribbean Funeral Services. Decent, nice, knowledgeable ... I could go on & on."},{"text":"Haven’t passed away yet. But when I do I know I am in safe hands with abi and her team. Keep up the great work"},{"text":"Only giving 2 stars due to the friendly support at the start of our bereavement. However Colin was despicable during the service. Although we had overran in time, Colin made sure to block the coffin at the church to make a statement although we were well aware. I was unable to view my bereaved for 10mins. When asked if Colin and his team could move slightly so the family can see the coffin and the individuals speaking at the time, he rudely refused and the remaining undertakers could not help us. Colin made a bitter situation worse with his behaviour and temperament. Sadly, his actions increased the tension around and my family were unable to finish their eulogy. This caused a lot of distress and our family did not feel it was a good send off. I would not recommend unless you want to add more upset to your bereavement. I must add, the other undertakers seemed more understanding and then explained why we needed to be rushed. However I found Colin's way of doing this out of order."},{"text":"Review long overdue. I used the services in May this year for my Brothers funeral. Abi and her team did everything and more to delight me. Everything was just perfect. Their Customer Service was exceptional, they go above and beyond. My interaction with them felt has if I was family. They are extremely professional and they really know their stuff. Abi is amazing. Her organisational skills is out of this world! They are very honest and trustworthy and she manages her team well. I even had the privilege to talk to the founders, very interesting chat. Thank you Abi and team for making what normally is a very sad affair, a very pleasurable experience I will never forget."},{"text":"I called on AFRICAN Caribbean Funeral Homes when my grandma passed and to be fair they were really kind and showed me an excellent level of professionalism. Death in the family was totally new to me as we haven’t had the opportunity to deal with any direct deaths in our family. I went in to see them and they showed me so much compassion I felt at ease. They took care of my grandma from the moment she was taken from the mortuary till she was laid to eternal rest. I want to say a big thanks to this wonderful team of brilliant black men and I will highly recommend them to handle the passing of any loved one."},{"text":"A&C were excellent handling the funeral for my father. They just get it. They always spoke with us and ensured everything was going to plan. The programme they designed was beautiful. The guys that handled everything on the day, where sensitive to our needs and where excellent. I can't thank them enough. Highly recommend them."},{"text":"Colin is unsympathetic, unprofessional and likes the sound of his own voice, but is not very good at what he should be doing. If I could give no stars I would. We were told Mary Embrack was no longer there, which would explain the marked deterioration in customer care. Mary knew how to run a funeral parlour and she gave 100%. Would never recommend again, to anyone."}]
